「I’d booked and paid for a room via Expedia. When I arrived I was told that I would not be staying there as they were fully booked and they had no rooms available. They claimed that there had been a change of ownership/management the week before and even though I myself had only booked two days before my arrival they denied any knowledge of my booking. I was left trying to find an alternative place to stay at 7pm on a Saturday night. Beware of pre booking if this is how they now treat guests....

「Good experience of staying」

「Breakfast was good quality. My room was up three sets of stairs in the attic. While of a good size, it wouldn't be easy carrying a suitcase to the room.」

「Very quaint pub in a quiet village - but full of life and character, obviously popular with locals and visitors alike. The staff were super friendly. Food was great. Our room was unique and full of old pub charm including sloping floors, but it was super clean, bed was comfortable and bathroom was well appointed.」

「Lovely old coaching inn and nice rooms too. It was lovely sat out in the forecourt having a drink undercover. My evening meal in pub was very nice , bit expensive and limited menu but tasted great. Breakfast was lovely and the Manager who was very friendly and I believe from Australia -and her assistant -were very helpful even allowing me to have it early as I had a show to get too. This was above and beyond and means I will definitely come back, Thank you」

「We just spent the night there, coming back from a wedding celebration. So didn’t really check the place out much. But I’d definitely recommend the full English veggie b’fast & fresh coffee: very tasty! 🙂」

「野外渡假感覺！」

「Convenient, near to the city centre and the bus terminal. Not good choice for family, especially about the bathroom setup. The shower is fixed on the wall, while the sink is too high for kid」

「Great value for money, clean facilities and friendly staff. Had a good nights sleep.」

「Friendly and welcoming staff, thoughtful touches and a lovely location with great walks and lots to explore」

「Fantastic, cosy and incredibly elegant little pub with really good bedrooms. Staff were friendly and helpful」

「pillow and bedsheet are too soft. shower cannot used, can only use bathtub.」

「We had a fantastic stay at the Plough Inn. The rooms and beds were comfortable and the pub and restaurant were really great to relax in and feel like relaxing at home. The food was excellent as well. Would definitely return!」

「Nice accommodation」

「We had an excellent experience in this hotel. It was the first time we visited this hotel. Located a bit away from the city centre, the hotel's deco, ambience and service were comparable to a 5-star hotel. We were particularly impressed by the service of Ali, proactive, considerate and detailed to meet our needs, even the unspoken. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel and found them enjoyable. 」

「We really enjoyed our brief stay.Such charming staff. My only question would be,please keep fresh milk in the room fridge, for tea in the morning. We would like to come back to stay in one of the thank4 bed lodges, overlooking the lake, next time.」
