This stunning 2800 sq ft custom southwestern home (with an additional 800 sq feet of covered patios - sun deck) is situated on 2.5 pristine acres in the Tucson Mountain foothills approximately 8 miles directly west of downtown, adjacent to the Gates Pass and 7 minutes from the JW Marriott resort community and golf club.
The majestic Tucson Mountain Park is perfect for biking, hiking or just relaxing and taking in the surrounding beauty. Enjoy the peaceful and quiet setting with incredible views while still maintaining a close proximity to shopping and great restaurants.

Golfers will be pleasantly surprised to find the Starr Pass (JW Marriott) golf course is only a 10-minute drive from the home as well as a wide variety of other courses 15 - 30 minutes away,

Cyclists will enjoy the Gates Pass Mountain area since it is a very popular place for spring cycle training. Most of the area’s roads have bike lanes and gorgeous saguaro studded views.

INTERIOR SPACES
After you walk through our front door. You will be amazed by the open living room with large picture windows, beamed ceilings, stone fireplace, and 86" TV .

Any amateur or professional cook will feel inspired in the custom kitchen, complete with stocked spice cabinet, Hestan cookware, top of the line Hestan cooktop, Cafe double ovens and Bosch dishwasher & refrigerator.

The large master suite is beautifully appointed and includes a king bed, and wood burning fireplace, The master suite is located on a separate floor of the home to ensure the utmost in privacy and views yet still has direct access to the covered patio, hot tub and swimming pool.

The master bath provides a walk-in shower with 2 removable shower heads, a jetted soaking tub and makeup counter.

OUTDOOR SPACES
While the home's interior is very comfortably furnished and equipped, Arizona life is all about the outdoors. Enjoy the exquisite Tucson weather year-round from the expansive outdoor living spaces including 3 patios, spa and heated swimming pool. Pool heat $400 wk.

The Starr Pass Marriott golf resort is 8 minutes away , while downtown restaurants are less than 15 minutes. Visitors will love these nearby attractions : The International wildlife museum 2 miles from the home , Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum 9 miles and Pima air and space museum less than 20 min .

With easy access to Interstate 10, day trips to Tubac, San Xavier Mission, Tombstone, Bisbee, Kartchner Caverns, Colossal Cave, Pima Air and Space Museum and Phoenix / Scottsdale couldn't be simpler. Very few rentals offer visitors such a prime location to see local attractions.

Fantastic setting, comfortable home

We had a lovely week at Ron's home. For us, the location and setting were perfect, as we were looking to be in the mountains and close to the west side of the park/the desert museum. The home was as described and had more than enough room for our family of five. We used the pool daily. As an owner, Ron was extremely helpful and responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

We were in town for college baseball spring training at Kino Sports Complex. The house was perfect location and offered plenty of space to relax and recharge. Convenient groceries and restaurants near by as well. Ron was easy to work with and house is as advertised!

Lovely relaxing visit

The property is lovely with a beautiful setting. We spent a week here. Enjoyed the pool tremendously. Cooked many meals. Went hiking a few days. It feels remote but you are in a gated community. Beds were comfortable and tv entertainment was superb. I highly recommend this place. The owner was responsive and helpful.

Nice place near west saguaro np. Its expensive but comfortable and convenient. Lovely area. Really 3 bedrooms since 4th has no door. Great if you can handle the cost or for couples sharing a room.

Relaxing desert retreat

Excellent Tucson desert getaway. Nice outdoor living space with awesome views of the mountains, desert and lights of Tucson below. House was clean, beds were comfortable and communication with Ron couldn't be easier. The pool and hot tub were a great place to relax and soak in all that beauty. It felt like we were out in the country but stores and restaurants were only a short drive away. We will definitely consider coming back if our path leads us to the area again.

Relaxing by the Pool

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Saguaro Canyon. The home was clean and well-maintained and was just as described in the listing. We found plenty of activities to keep ourselves busy, but the pool was the star of our trip. After exploring in the mornings, we'd spend much of the afternoon just chilling in the back yard, enjoying the pool and the views. Highly recommended! One note: Google Maps shows a loop around the neighborhood, but this is misleading since some of the loop is private property. Nevertheless, there are plenty of trails in the area if you want to go for a walk.

Tucson beauty - we loved our stay!

My family and I visited Tucson for a couple of nights and I am extremely happy that I came across Ron and his home. We loved the views and outdoor seating areas. The heated pool was amazing. We spent most of our time outdoors. The kitchen and bedrooms are a very nice touch. The beds are very comfortable and the home is well stocked with supplies. Ron was a pleasure to work with. He made the check-in and check-out process very easy. 5-stars all around!!

The house was in a beautiful location with excellent views. It needed some repairs/updates. You couldn’t call it 4 bedrooms as the 4th bedroom had no door/closet or dresser. It seemed to need a good cleaning inside, We had problems with the electrical, the bathtubs needed repair and had broken cabinets drawers in the kitchen.

Amazing location with great views

We enjoyed it at this property mainly due to the wonderful location. It’s great to be up on the mountainside with the cacti and the views. Ron was a helpful host, easily contactable and very responsive to sort out a couple of issues we had. The property is nice. It is maybe a little more tired than some others we have stayed at but it had everything we needed. The downstairs bedroom with the privacy curtain is very close to the kitchen so don’t put anyone in there who likes a lie-in as noise carries!

Beautiful area, quiet except for guy next door running his blower and other garden equipment when we were out by pool. I was disappointed about decks to master bedroom not being clean, 1 dish towel to dry dishes and no pool cover. I'm not sure we'd stay there again.

Multigenerational Family Getaway

We had an excellent week in Tucson with this property serving as a clean, comfortable, safe, and accomodating home base. Our time on the outdoor patios and pool was amazing with scenic escalated views of the sonoran desert landscape. Our time in the home allowed us to escape the heat and find either our own space (e.g. taking a nap, reading a book) or community spaces (e.g. watching movies, playing pool, cooking meals) to enjoy time together. The location of the property was especially convenient to navigate to the Desert Museum, Old Tucson Studios, and Saguaro National Park (west). We would wholeheartedly recommend this property. Adult family getaway

This property is unbelievable in so many ways from the bottom of the driveway up to the backyard oasis and everything in between. My family of eight felt at home even though the property itself is large. We could’ve played hide and go seek in there if we wanted to. And the views from every single window seem as though they were perfectly placed to see the surroundings of the beautiful desert untouched dessert. We were able to watch the sunrise and the sunset from the patio and even caught some monsoons quenching the summer heat. The skyline view we had on the patio dinner table was priceless! Two of my adult children are chefs and they put very good use to the state of the art kitchen. There were so many amenities that one could not complain and to top it off, our gracious host, Ronald was like one of the family answering all the questions and helping us with anything that we needed making us all feel at home! I would 100% bring my family back here again and again! Thanks for all the memories Ronald!

Guys golf week

The location is up against a mountain and the backyard is shaded earlier in the afternoon. This allowed us to spend more time by the pool in the shade. It is a super quiet and secluded location. We were four big guys golfing each day, so we would have liked the home to be cooler than it was. There is limited control of the thermostat, and it is watched closely. We had to sleep on top of the beds, and it was hotter than we prefer. I would have liked to have this information before booking the home for a week. This may be a better choice in the cooler months.

Twinkling stars, gated community, cactus views, and plenty of wildlife! Plus clean, gorgeous house!

This house is incredible! Twinkling city lights as seen from the hot tub, cactus views in the daytime, quiet gated neighborhood filled with birds and wildlife. Chirping birds in the morning, sunrise on the deck, alpenglow at night on surrounding mountains. Friendly neighbors and safe (and hilly) streets to walk. Fancy fresh-grind by-the-cup coffeemaker, freshly filled hot tub, immaculate pool. The owner, Ron, is perfectly responsive, delightful, friendly, and uber helpful. He gave us great restaurant recommendations and answered every question almost immediately. He's a foodie so the kitchen supplies are high end and all work well. Great knives, nice cutting boards, fancy pots and pans, fun cookbooks, granite countertops! Provided coffee and tea of many varieties and an electric kettle. Double ovens with electric panels make cooking easy. Enormous stainless gas range and easy to use outdoor grill and blue glass gas fire pit with surrounding table. When nighttime comes around, there are soft duvets covered with crisp white sheets, plenty of fluffy towels, quiet clothes washer and dryer and dishwasher. Cozy living room with impressive granite (!) fireplace, comfy sectional couch for teens and family to cuddle and watch movies and sports on the huge TV, plus plenty of games and puzzles for family laughs. I could never have imagined such a wonderful place for my family to stay over Christmas. We made so many amazing memories that will live in my heart forever! Thank you Ron!!!

Nice house in a great location.

This house gets a star just for views and location. Just west of the city of Tucson in a safe, private community it has no traffic but is just minutes from anything you want to do. Sonoran museum, El Rio golf course, Tucson mountain park and west Saguaro national park are only a few miles away. At night you can sit by the gas fire pit on the veranda and look down on the city lights. There were a few housekeeping details that we were not expecting on arrival but our host came and fixed them (e.g. no coffee pot, a bed unmade, a bathroom not completely cleaned). The house was plenty big enough for our group of 6 and 8 would work OK but no more than that I think. The kitchen is well stocked with plates, utensils, cookware and even spices but it has a lay out that doesn't really flow too well for cooking. We did manage to cook all of our meals but you walk back and forth a lot. There is an nice old school pool table but the room is just a little too small for it so be careful not to pop out a window. TV and stereo system is great with music and movies on demand. When we went there was cold weather so the pool couldn't get warm enough so that was out but the hot tub worked fine once it got up to temperature.

Everything you need and more!

As a frequent traveler I'm renting houses all the time, and this house at Trails End truly exceeded my expectations on just about every level. For starters it's located in a gorgeous area with epic views of the mountains/desert. It feels and looks remote, yet you're only 10-15 mins from town. I was extremely pleased with all the amenities in this house. The kitchen was beautiful and beyond stocked with super nice, high-end appliances. We really enjoyed cooking there!! I enjoyed the massive flat screen in the living room and our master bedroom had a big flat screen too...that's something you rarely see in rentals. The beds were super comfortable with soft bedding. I slept well every night. Another thing that stood out to me were the nice hot showers! Yes, the water actually gets HOT and lasts which I found very nice since I enjoy hot showers. We spent a lot of time on the outdoor patio and pool area, which was great! Its also well equipped with furniture, tables and a grill. Oh, wildlife! It was amazing...one day we saw a beautiful Bob cat stroll by...we also saw Quails the same day. The house really had a lot of nice touches that I don't typically see when I rent houses (and I rent nice places). Ron the homeowner was very helpful and attentive even though we really never needed anything. This house is not "bare bones" like so many other houses I've rented. It's stocked with most everything you'll need, and it has many of the comforts like your own home. Thanks again! We'll definitely be back!
