Our room was incredibly clean - Grismerelda was fantastic at making our space spotless and also greeted us every morning with a basket with a hot thermos of coffee and every afternoon with a spotless room. She has a great sense of humor as well! The staff was amazing - Julio and Jorge were generous and attentive. We have small children who did not travel with us this trip, so I would say that if you are traveling with children, this is not the hotel for you - there is a pool but it is on the rooftop after lots of stairs and was cold (in February- so understandable) and we saw no families with children when we stayed. However, for an adult getaway, it was wonderful.

This is a lovely hotel, right on Tulum Beach. We loved our room. Our housekeeper Griselda and our server Alex were wonderful, as was the rest of the staff. If we travel to Tulum again at some point, we would love to stay here again!

My stay at Hotelito Azul was incredible. It’s an ideal place for families. The morning coffee service was a very nice touch. Communication was mainly via WhatsApp with the team, which made everything very easy and convenient. Before our arrival, we completed the digital check-in and received a QR code for access, which was very practical. The staff was always kind and attentive.

Where to even begin …. What appears on the Expedia website does not even merely begin to describe the reality of Hotelito Azul. It is simply a run down beach cabana marketing itself as this tranquil and relaxing jungle escape. There was no one at the front desk when you needed help, and if you needed assistance you had to contact the property on WhatsApp, but the hours were from 8am - 6pm. Our AC did not work in our room, our room wasn’t cleaned daily unless asked for it and it was a chore to get both extra bathing and beach towels. Our sheets were never changed after tracking in sand daily. The only people who could assist you with anything were the staff at the onsite Olivia Cafe. We had to scan a QR code to enter and exit the premise but often the gate / door was just left wide open providing entry to anyone off the street, super unsafe. Also the rooftop advertised on the website was not only rundown but the pool was not swimmable as was our hot tub at our room. As I said before the images on the hotel site as well as Expedia depict a COMPLETELY different reality. The only plus was the beach front chairs and service. We paid for a drink package which was a limited menu ONLY at Olivia Cafe not the Agave Beach Bar on the literal beach and I had to keep receipts so they didn’t overcharge us. Overall this was an overpriced, rundown establishment with unhelpful, rude staff. 0/10 would not recommend for their steep price, wish we explored different options which included more.

Me hospedé en Hotelito Azul en la zona hotelera de Tulum y tuve una experiencia muy bonita. Desde que llegamos, el staff fue súper amable y atento en todo momento, siempre dispuestos a ayudar y hacer que nuestra estancia fuera más cómoda. Me tocó la habitación 22 con vista al mar y la verdad estuvo muy bien. Despertar viendo el mar y escuchando las olas fue algo increíble. La habitación estaba cómoda y perfecta para relajarse y disfrutar del ambiente tan bonito que tiene el hotel. Sin duda volvería a hospedarme aquí. Gracias a todo el equipo por hacernos sentir tan bien durante nuestra estancia.

Manque d’entretien, troues dans le plancher, pas de rampe d’escaliers, trop grandes espaces dangereuses entre les marches d’escalier, piscine désuète, mobilier brisé qui ne fait pas de ce lieu où on se sent choyé d’être et qui est très loin des descriptions luxueuses , des photos, des bons commentaires que j’ai lusur cette plateforme. Nous devions prendre rendez-vous pour profiter des terrasses du toit parcequil y a des travaux sans même nous aviser à l’avance. J’étais à cette hôtel pour célébrer un événement heureux, mais on s’est plutôt senti arnaqués. Nous avons quitté sans même prendre possession de notre chambre. On refuse de nous rembourser soit disant la politique de l’hôtel. L’hôtel ne vaut pas le prix et le manque de sécurité des clients et non négociable selon moi.

The room was fine - small , little room for clothes. Towels were very worn. The staff was wonderful. Lovely, with right on the beach. Good restaurants, but the facility needs work, paint, etc. Samantha, the concierge couldn’t have been nicer - very helpful.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff were very kind and accommodating. They helped our family with everything we needed, especially with our 2 young children. The credit was nice and they even accommodated non alcoholic drinks for my wife who was pregnant. The upper deck and pool is very beautiful but the water is cold and you can’t take drinks or food up there, which is confusing. Still, we loved our stay at Hotelito Azul.

Fabulous place. Our room in the trees was great. The cat welcoming us was adorable and the woman at reception was very helpful and nice.

Everything seemed closed and staff were nice but sparse and hard to track down. Not enough distinction between beach bar and hotel bar. There are better options on the beach.

La habitación era pegada al bulevard mucho ruido, los asientos de la sala durísimos en la habitación plunge Pool, el acceso y salida por qr está un poco molesto y el parking te lo cierran a las 10 pm , lo demás en general está ok

Was a truly wonderful hotel, from the rooms to the staff to the service everything here was an amazing experience. Found the staff to be extremely helpful and accommodating with top notch service and the hotel is very well located with a gorgeous stretch of beach area and walking distance to the best restaurants and bars in tulum. Highly recommended!!!
