4th of July week on Tybee
The house is huge with 8 bedrooms and was great for our extended family vacation. There is a large common space which was great for hanging out. The place was bright, open, and impeccably clean, and the beds were super comfortable. Note, a couple of the bedrooms did not have ceiling fans and got warm at night if the doors were closed. (The A/C worked great and kept the house cool.)
There are 5 full bathrooms but only one was a private en-suite bathroom and the rest were shared.
The kitchen was well stocked, but extremely small for an 8 bedroom house. It didn’t really accommodate more than one person at a time, and there were no empty cabinets to store food (like none at all). We ended up storing food on the dining table, countertops, and even containers on the floor. It wasn’t a huge deal, and we did cook a lot of family meals.
The property is in a very quiet part of the island, which is nice, but a little far to walk to the beach.
