The friendliest hotel we have ever stayed at! Delightful staff and wonderful secluded location but near the town centre. Lots of events, some free, and helpful advice on where to visit. The room was spacious with a good view and wi-fi was generally okay.

We left early but still think the property deserves 5 stars because of how well all the staff supported us through the situation. We unfortunately didn’t feel able to look after our baby as well as we would have liked with the general facilities in the town and how difficult it was to protect him from mosquitoes. But the staff were really kind and helpful throughout in supporting us to leave early, particularly when Expedia were being really difficult.

I'm often not inspired to write reviews, but I wish to for the Dewangga Ubud because, of many hotels I've stayed in worldwide over the last 5 years, I rate it as my favourite choice, on the grounds that it excelled in meeting all of my needs. It couldn't have a better position for walking access to restaurants (4 within about 20 m), places of interest such as Balinese dance venues, and shops. At the same time, it is set in tranquil green gardens, with little noise at night. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but not anonymous, with good AC, bathrooms and a balcony, and integrate into the gardens. Nice breakfasts. Everything worked. The hotel staff were very friendly and efficient in arranging my airport transfers and I was happy with the 2 excursions they arranged for me. I simply can't think of any other hotel that has given me everything I wanted across the complete spectrum.

This is a quiet oasis in Ubud. We were immediately relaxed after our walks when returning to the hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful! We were particularly impressed at how quickly the hotel was able to get drivers for us.

Fint och lugnt boende mitt i centrala Ubud. Toppenläge mitt i smeten men ändå hördes inget av trafiken. Fantastisk trädgård med egna trädgårdsmästare, poolområdet var jättemysigt. Trevlig personal som alltid hälsade och va trevliga. Kommer definitivt tillbaka hit igen.

The property is perfectly located in the heart of Ubud with beautiful gardens a nice cosy pool and large clean rooms. There is a coffee shop at the gate with very helpful staff and a variety of snacks and meals to suit all tastes. Our room was the largest on the property and was absolutely huge with a big balcony. We didn't dine in the restaurant but the included breakfast was basic but definitely big enough for most travellers and the staff were only too happy to adjust set menu items to your taste. I get the impression they are trying to up their standards as they were changing processes and procedures during our stay to make everything a little more classy and also introducing TVs to the standard rooms. This property offers excellent value for money and I would certainly stay here again. If you do find anything amiss, remember this is Bali and little things can go wrong, just let the staff know and they will fix it promptly if at all possible

Secure your belongings!

After having stayed at Dewangga once before, we were very much looking forward to returning to this very well located hotel and the friendly staff. However, after the first night,our luggage was very obviously opened and tampered with by the housekeeping staff while we were at breakfast. The customer relations staff person didn't seem to think it was an issue, as nothing had been taken. Apparently it's ok to rifle through guests belongings! We left after 1 night and found other accommodation. We have been to various hotels around Bali on our numerous trips here, and never encountered any such problems ever. We will never return to this hotel.
