The new property was not updated for navigation. The directions said that the host lives across the street. Across the street was an Amish saw Mill, which would not be our host’s residence.
Apron arrival the house was hot and stuffy. We opened windows and tried to sleep on the Futon bed. The bed was not comfortable, back pain the entire weekend, never experienced that before in a $200 plus rental. Futon also wrapped in plastic, which made us sweat all night, even when it was cool. No bed side lamp to be able to see in night. On the second day my girlfriend was trying to do the dishes and the plumbing under the sink completely fell apart. I was out riding at the time and received a text from her. I sent a quick email to host as I was not there and wanted to alert them to the problem. The correspondence said she lived across the street. Couple hours later I arrived expecting that someone would have attended to the alert but nothing, checked my email and there was a
Response asking for more info on the leak. So I investigated myself to find that it was cheap plumbing and poor workmanship and could be fixed. As we could not operate the kitchen sink our dishwasher as it was, I changed, got my tools and fixed the problem. I did not respond to the text as I found it poor that they should rely on me to define their problem that was “ just across the street”. As our weekend wound down and we began cleaning up, we could not do our laundry as their was no dryer in the unit. The amenities did list a washer AND dryer. I take no satisfaction in writing this review as I have not written another negative review. But the standard of support that I have experience from both finer and more modest accommodations was non existent. Felt like no one was concerned if their responsibilities reflected negatively on our experience.
