“I would highly recommend Sergeant House. The rooms were very clean, beautifully decorated and good air conditioning. Lots of welcome extras included such as insect repellent, cookies, robes, sunhat and beach towels. The hotel is in a great location but set back from the road so lovely and peaceful. The manager was really helpful in arranging tours and airport transfers”

“Nice facility, our room was fairly unique with some fake rock. Our daughter's room had a cool outdoor bathtub. You get great use of two other Thambapanni resorts in the area. Rooms are large and interesting. Very musty. The air conditioner needed to be maintained to keep mildew out. Clothes drying rack, nice bathroom and good breakfast. Super accommodating staff. Unawatuna is a bit of a Russian tourist trap. Aggressive tuktuk drivers and merchants. Jungle Beach nice but crowded. The Sea Waves……

“We had a lovely stay at this hotel. It is right on the water and you can see the waves crashing on the rocks. It is located close to many shops and restaurants. We had a delicious breakfast each day with a choice of Euro-American food and Sri Lankan food. We had a wonderful assistant in the person of Asuri. She was doing everything: front of house, breakfast, room service and more. The pool was lovely, despite the odd shark-dolphin sculptural oddity (a shower for children). The rooms were……
