“Very well cared for older cabin, all the necessities for comfort are there to cook, clean up, etc., even dog toys too. There is no TV in the largest prime bedroom but it is on the 1st floor. There is a shared dock to use but to get to the waterfront, or shoreline is not easy for those that may have balance and/or walking issues. We enjoyed tons of fireflies at dusk from the deck along with an eagle, osprey, cardinals, a friendly geko, and pretty lake sunsets too. The hosts were very caring……

“Wonderful caring owners. Loved the views and closeness of the lake. So enjoyed watching and hearing the birds and wildlife. Cabin small but comfortable. Great for a couples getaway. Be sure and visit the city of Jefferson while you’re there. Took the trolley tour and learned so much about this historic town.”

“We had a wonderful stay at this cabin in the Piney Woods. The host and staff are so easy to communicate with and answered any questions we had. We enjoyed roasting hot dogs in the fire pit and visiting nearby state and local parks. ”

“This place is everything we imagined and more. My husband and I came here for our wedding anniversary. We wanted a quiet weekend away from the city and kids. I was looking for a place to fish, watch birds and enjoy the peace. Without a doubt, this cottage checked every box. We arrived to the most pleasant and sweet host dropping off fresh eggs from the chicken coop in the front yard, homemade jelly, and some biscuits. We're from Iowa so we don’t see too many bass this size, so it was pretty great catching a nice 9 pound bass, which is my new personal best thanks to lake fork!”
