“The room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was small but functional. There is no parking at the hotel or near area which is very problematic. The breakfast was extra but a reasonable cost at £25 for two people. The egg was over cooked and the bacon was unusual.”

“It's such a shame because the Rose Cottage is in a great location but it was very tired and could do with a proper up grade. Cobwebs everywhere which I didn't mind but when I went to use cutlery, saucepans, glass jar they were dirty and I had to clean them. There's no dishwasher so maybe the previous people that stayed didn't know how to wash up by hand and the cleaner didn't check. Also the fridge wasn't turned on and took a long time to get cold meaning no cold beers with our dinner. I……

“A beautiful shiny new hotel with well thought through design and such aesthetic decor. The staff were helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay. The roof top bar was a definite plus, with fab views, it just made the weekend for me and my friend who had a long overdue catch up. So close to the station, an easy weekend away.”

I found out no lift Expedia said couldn't ca cel without losing my money,when I told them this they said not a problem they would have returned it,again thanks for nothing Expedia. Staff so helpful and helped to get up to bed. Food was to die for had evening meal,lovely fresh cooked menu and breakfast again fabulous. Would recommend and would go again in spite of no lift!”

The owner is really welcoming and helpful. I stayed 2 days for a work trip but I’d love to go back and make more use of the facilities, maybe stay in one of the hot tub rooms, and see more of the area.”
