Personnel médiocre, on a toujours l’impression de les déranger. Hotel vieillot, salle de bain à refaire très peu de prises électrique. Aucune isolation entre les chambres, on peut discuter avec les voisins. Petit déjeuner très léger pour les 15 euros demandés.

The big selling points for this hotel in my opinion are the location and the breakfast. We opened the window to a fantastic view of the Grand Canal, it was amazing and there are plenty of choices for breakfast. The hotel is dated and in need of upgrading but its not 5 star and you are not paying 5 star prices, would definitely stay here again

Very nice place to stay, friendly hotel personnel, except who is in charge of breakfast. The person was pretty much rude, unfriendly and incapable to give understandable explanation in certain situation.

We book through Expedia and got a confirmation number. We ahow up and we have no reservation. Clerk said that Expedia never contacted him. No rooms were available. Clerk was nice enough to book us another room at another hotel. He said 11 minutes walk. Gave us the wrong direction. We walked with our suitcases over small bridges and cobbled streets for an hour. Came back to Hotel Canal. We were tired. So he send us again towards the hotel but different direction. It tooks us 30 minutes not 20. Hotel was not close to water canel like he said. We were very disappointed.

The entire experience was positive, from the short, uncomplicated walk to and from the hotel, to the friendly staff and the excellent breakfast. Our group of eight and I were very satisfied! One of the unique things I liked was the style of the rooms; they were clean yet had an old aesthetic charm! As a first-time traveler to this location, I would definitely come back!

The hotel was in a very good location - close to public transportation, restaurants and shopping. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The air conditioning did not cool the best and the internet connection wasn't very strong. Overall, the hotel was a good value for the price.

I liked we were able to drop off our luggage before check in. The pictures on line of the rooms are not accurate for the room we received. The room was dirty and had a lot mold. The beds only have a sheet and no blankets. When we asked for blankets we were told it is summer and they don’t have any. I was surprised when I found one the next morning in our room behind the mirror. Front desk should’ve know that’s where they were kept. The front desk lady in the morning is not very friendly.
