The hotel is in a good location for getting to the water taxis and there are many stores and and restaurants close by. The room is well worn with tattered curtains and we could feel the springs in the bed while laying down. The shower is not the most convenient either. Breakfast was ok, not recommended for those with milk allergies as there isn't much to choose from.

There is nothing but stairs in this place, if you have any problems with knees do not book here, they should stress that there are only STAIRS to ALL floor.. The place is so old, I do not think they sunk a dime in the place since WW2, never have I stayed at such a fallen down hotel, this should not be on the Expedia web site

The hotel is in a fantastic location, just a few short minutes from the San Vaccaria water bus station and also next to a lovely strip of restaurants and bars. The only negative is that the hotel is a little tired looking and breakfast choices were limited but i would still book again.

Really nice hotel, with beautiful interior wood work, and lovely wallpaper, and curtains in the room we stayed in. Everything worked great and was very clean. The staff accommodated an early arrival, stored our bags, answered every question, and made coffee for us when we left way earlier than breakfast time. Centrally located and a neat hotel for a very reasonable price, we'll be back for sure.
