Jesuit Apartment

PALAZZO ZEN was built in the 16th century in the Gothic style, commissioned by the family of the same name, also known as the Zeno family. The façade facing the canal features a dense series of twenty arched windows, alternating with others having truncated spires, and four blind arches in the Renaissance style. Four massive balconies, adorned with rich Lombard-style marble friezes, surmount the entrances, enhancing the façade. A plaque, affixed by the City, commemorates the two great 14th-century navigators, Nicolò and Antonio Zeno, who likely lived here before the palace was built.
