“overall great for the price. its a very lowkey b&b in a charming victorian era guest house. its in a decent area, nice and close to the rail station. the owners were lovely, the room had a skylight, breakfast is an option but i dont think its included depending how you book. my only criticisms is that there was what looked like splotches of mold on the slanted ceiling in the bathroom, though there was no water damage smell. the other thing was soundproofing, last i checked it was advertised as……

“Great check in experience - picked up the key from next door and given a detailed tour of the wide ranging facilities. The superior doublw was a large spacious room with a super king size bed provided a very comfortable night's sleep. Great shower although the shower room needs some TLC. Excellent value for money.”

“Self service so expected some instructions - couldnt get tv to work. Coffee, tea n sugar provided - no milk. Kettle supplied on shelf - no plug nearby. Low light - difficult to read. However good location, warn and clean - also cheap. :)”

“The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were able to drop our bags off earlier in the day before check in. The room was small but clean and very comfortable. We had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. ”

“A really lovely little place to stay. The room was spacious and the bed super comfortable. Having kitchen facilities to use is a bonus although we didn’t use them. The shower wasn’t great (rain head only) and I really struggled to work it. It would also be great to have a mirror in the bedroom area for getting ready as the only mirror was in the bathroom. ”

“The room is on the 2nd floor , it is too small for a family, no table , no teeth brush , no hairdryer and shower gel provided . The stairs are too steep, quite dangerous if you have baby with you. My friend lived on 1 st floor , there is no bathroom inside the room, shared bathroom is outside, they didn’t realize that when they booked the room. ”

“Room was a little tired but overall okay. Minor issues like ripped wallpaper etc. My only issue was the fact the latch was slightly damaged on the inside so I had no way to properly lock the door. I had to put the chain on and shove a doorstop under the door, as a solo female traveller this made me a little uncomfortable. Walls are very thin so be aware if you’re a light sleeper. I think overall the hotel was okay for the price. You should also note that it seems the hotel staff will go in your……

“Very good pub hotel”

“I guess it is because only the lady boss works there, she was friendly but a bit tense. ”

“Stayed here with 16 members of the family, aged 10 months to over 70. Games room was perfect, very well stocked kitchen , bedrooms were good, in general the property needs a hug, tired in places. The beaches are accessible by only the sure footed, and we’re not suitable to sit on as there was evidence of rock falls.having said that the coastal walks were perfect”

“Lots of toys and games for children and teens. Spacious layout. Lovely feel to the house. Beautiful gardens. Wonderful location so close to one of the very best beaches on the island, Steephill Cove.”

“The Granary is quirky and very comfortable, equipped with everything you need for a self catering stay. The garden is just wonderful and the real highlight of our stay. Rebecca is a five star host and we can’t recommend her property highly enough. With a car or bicycles, it’s in an ideal location for exploring the island. Without, the buses are frequent, convenient and inexpensive.”
