"Hotels overall vibe was great. Building is cool. Bar and restaurant on the main floor was great. Staff were kind and helpful. Location is also a plus. Real close to everything. My Room was on the 1st floor. Facing Pandora Ave. Might just be because the building is old - but noise travels pretty well coming from the outside. Sound of traffic; yelling of people on the street; neighbouring rooms - it was noisy for sure. Last 2 nights, Room next to me had a dog that barked at everything - which could be heard even at the far corner of my room. I would recommend this hotel. Just pick a higher floor room - if you can."

"The hotel is definitely dated. You don’t notice it as much when you first walk in, but once you get to the hallways where the rooms are, you certainly do — including a bit of that “old church” smell. That said, everything was very clean and comfortable. The location is fantastic — right on the harbour and within easy walking distance of almost everything. There is currently construction directly outside, but it didn’t bother us and we couldn’t hear it from inside. Breakfast was fine and the dining room was lovely. My favourite part was that after breakfast it was essentially empty for the rest of the day. They played classical piano music, and I spent quite a bit of time working there. It was quiet, peaceful and fabulous. We booked two rooms. Both were dated, although the two-queen room was considerably more dated than the loft suite. The loft had a harbour view, a comfortable couch for sitting and chatting, and a well-stocked kitchenette. We didn’t cook, but it was great for simple things like making popcorn. The loft layout takes some getting used to, with the bed upstairs and bathroom downstairs, and the TV placement isn’t particularly practical. Still, the space worked well for us. If you’re looking for modern, this isn’t it, but it’s clean, comfortable and incredibly well located."

"Hotel is very clean and the rooms are nice. Great in room coffee, and the restaurant food is good and reasonably priced. Just a short walk from Fisherman's wharf and about 17 minute walk to downtown. The hotel offers a shuttle to downtown, but we inquired twice and they were not available for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Otherwise the staff are friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the lights on the bed were not working and I received multiple text messages from the hotel during our stay. I was there 3 days and received a text on day 2 saying the hotel was looking forward to my visit. I think they just need to work out the timing of their automated text messages and send fewer messages."
