"Great location. Paid parking is close. Most of the old building looks refreshed, but some hall carpeting looks tattered. Rooms and bathrooms were spacious. Breakfast buffet was hearty, but the coffee offered was so bad we bought instant in town and made our own at breakfast. Staff are very nice. There is a bar on-site, but we didn't use it."

"Very helpful and friendly staff. They were able to fix a sandwich for us on our late arrival. Very good breakfast and the evening meal we had was excellent. Clean and quiet room. We didn't use the parking as we arrived by train. Hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the station."

"Central position for all central Inverness restaurants and shops, about 8 minutes to the railway station. Our first night was in a double room. Room was clean apart from the the shower but very basic. The only piece of furniture was one small chair and an open frame unit with a bar across it but no hangers. Presumably you need to bring your own if you wanted to hang something up. Nowhere to place a case. "

"Location was awesome. It had both a kitchen and laundry which allowed for a chance from eating out as we were on a 1 month holiday. Very clean, also unexpected was the room tidying after first night."

"A lovely hotel in a perfect setting by the river. My only quibble is that one morning at breakfast two staff members had a disparaging conversation about a colleague within earshot of guests. Bar prices were a bit on the high side but other than that The Palace was terrific."
