“Great place to stay for the night, located very close to downtown Davis and Blackwater falls! It was cozy and just what we needed. The only thing that could be improved is the water temperature of the shower is very tempermental, as in you have to get it exactly in the right spot or its too hot or too cold. This is minor but something to note. We would definitely stay here again. The hostest was very responsive and I would give her 10 stars if possible. Thanks! ”

“The property is cozy, comfy, and modern. The bed is comfortable, and the wifi is good which I was thankful for since we had no cell service around here. Plenty of room for the dog to run around. We really enjoyed the fire pit and appreciated the plentiful firewood that was provided. It could be a little loud with the road being close by and people going fast, but there is a sound machine provided in the bedrooms which was very thoughtful. ”

“So much of this trip was ideal. From attentive communication to easy check-in to a gorgeous setting, we appreciated it all. Take care with the driveway as rain has washed some small places away. Slow and steady. Location is ideal for a quick trip to Charlottesville or Shenendoah National Park. The restaurant on nearby Lydia mountain has solid offerings and rockstar patio views. “We had a great stay at Edgewater Retreat. Our family of 5 (adults) were in the area for a wedding. The house was just 10 minutes away, which made it so convenient for the festivities. Everything was just as described. The kitchen was well stocked. Our only issue was the coffee maker didn’t work, which I think was damaged due to recent storms (we let Chris know and he was going to replace it). “Nicely remolded. We had an issues caused by us. The owner was there to help out within an hour. If you stay there do not lock the door lock. It’s not just a pass through knob. We locked it and of course the code meant nothing at that point. Like o said great response and we moved right along. We will stay there again ”

“Property was well landscaped and very clean inside as well. No complaints whatsoever. Would come back again. Hot tub and the stream was very nice. Only thing I would recommend is not coming into the property on the 2.5 mile long dirt road. ”
