Hotel has dated decor but I think that's the way they designed the hotel. They wanted the hotel to look like an old classic hotel. Our room was nice, my only issue was the bathroom door wood sill was worn a bit and falling apart. The staff are excellent and helpful.
We recommend, the hotel is located near the beach and in a quiet area. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Phat, the doorman, is always ready to help if we needed it. The breakfast was appropriately local and tasty.
I want to thank staff, especially wy and suee for helping me have a wonderful vacation. This place has a an ideal location to be able to eat and go to places I want. Will come back
We originally booked only 2 nights at the Cap hotel but extended our stay up to 8 nights in total. We really enjoyed the location of the hotel and personnel. Doorman Mr. Phat and Mr Thong in reception took good care of us. Breakfast buffet was great and rooms were clean. Only issue we had was with the humidity in our room. If you have any diet requirements and don't speak Vietnamese be careful at the hotel restaurant. The spa in the hotel was decent but a little overpriced.
This property has so much potential. I can’t say enough about the staff. They are wonderful. But, you really need to see the property to understand how backwards everything seems. It’s as though someone decided to build a hotel with absolutely no plans! I believe there are 2 towers (A and B) and another smaller building. None are connected via a well thought out passage way. Instead we were taken through a single glass door to a terrace and walked around building A to a path which eventually led to building B. Very strange layout.
We had a 2 bedroom room. There were the makings of a full kitchen yet the only real kitchen equipment was a refrigerator and a sink. The sink had a faucet which looked like a contractor assembled with spare parts.
Now for the bathrooms. The main bathroom had a tub with a shower wand. No door or curtain. You just spray all over the toilet and floor. The 2nd bathroom had a nice stand alone shower with no place to set your soaps/shampoo except the floor.
I can go on and on with all of the quirks. If you’re ok with them, this is your place. Again, the staff were exceptional!
The hotels in Ving Tau are really affordable and one can not be too picky. In any case book yourself a sea view as otherwise the brown , outdated furniture could be a bit depressing. The at the hotel looks a bit doggy. Also the pool at the photos looks much nicer. In Vietnam they tend to filter photos a lot :)
The staffs of this property are very friendly. Especially Mr. Phat, he is very helpful.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
Hotel room needs to have a big, long standing mirror for guests to look at their whole body. The bathtub wall is too high making it difficult and not safe to get in and out of the tub.
The room is tidy, clean and spacious. Bedding is super soft, we had a wonderful night. The swimming pool is clean and nice; but the water is a bit cold for children
Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Our family will come back in the future.
The restaurant should prepare some babychairs for kids under 2 years.
Dette er 80 tallets stil. Og de gjør helt ok.
Det konseptet burde dyrkes for alt det er verdt, men her blir det litt ufrivillig; slik ble det opplevelse.
Store gode rom, men litt pussig belysning.
Before I start, thanks Mr. Phuc (doorman), for being the best part of my hotel stay. 3.5 stars is apparently what happens when you cut costs from a 4. Hot water that does not go above lukewarm. Poolside hot tub might have gotten a couple degrees above the freezing windy pool. No worries, my daughter's chattering teeth almost rivaled the 80+dB construction noise from next door. It happens. They stop hammering at 20:30. Had dinner out and went to the skybar, which is open. Wide-open. Beautiful empty space where a bar should be. Surprise. On the plus side, some background music was all we need to drift off on the comfy bed. The pile-driver wakeup call is at 07:30. Buffet was below average, but came with a pho/omlette guy. Came back from the beach to ask the front desk if I could get another hour added to our checkout time, they gave us 2. Awesome. Felt good to not rush. Felt good enough to order some over-priced room service, even after the cautionary buffet. Got a club sandwich instead of the hamburger I ordered, half right. The only surface could hold the room service tray was a nightstand that I moved to the front of the bed for a table. That's when the unthinkable happened. A couple drops of chili sauce fell on the duvet. After waiting 20 minutes for the cleaning crew to report for checkout, I was informed that I would need to buy a replacement duvet at the cost of an additional night. I haggled down to a cleaning fee, because cleaning is not included with your room charge.
Good location, walking distance to the beach
Staff was friendly & nice
Well-appointed room with good view
Overall experience was good. Highly recommend!!
