Just a short stroll from the cottage, you’ll find the famous The Mariners, a must-visit pub led by Paul Ainsworth, serving outstanding seasonal dishes right on the waterfront. And of course 4 boys resturant our favorit food in Rock (a must book) .
For something more refined, Restaurant Nathan Outlaw is a short drive away and offers Michelin-starred seafood that’s worth planning ahead for. Closer to home, hop on the quick ferry across the estuary to Padstow, where you can enjoy iconic dining at The Seafood Restaurant by Rick Stein.

There’s no train station in Rock, but you can easily connect via: • Bodmin Parkway (mainline London connections) • Newquay station
Both are reachable by bus from the Padstow/Rock area.

The closest and most convenient airport is Cornwall Airport Newquay – just around 20–30 minutes from Rock by car. It’s the main airport serving Cornwall, with regular domestic flights and seasonal international routes.
From the airport, you can reach Rock via bus to Padstow (approx. 1 hour) followed by a short ferry or taxi journey.
