“This was our first stay under the new ownership and it didn't disappoint. Staff were very welcoming at check-in and throughout our stay. The decor has been updated and Sheldon House now looks far more 'colourful'. I rarely read the guest information, however the folder was inviting and I am glad that I opened it. The information contained within was very engaging and helpful, especially as I established that at some point it was called The Burley Sheldon Hotel. I need to check my husband's……

“Holly House is a lovely place to stay - Dee is the most delightful host and her garden is just gorgeous. The room was perfect for my two-night stay in the area, to visit relatives and National Trust properties. A very comfortable bed, and hot shower. The breakfast options were excellent and set me up for the day ahead. The proximity (within easy walking distance) of a good country pub, The Red Lion, was a bonus for evening meals - highly recommended. I would love to return one day to Holly……

“We stayed there for 5 nights with our 2 teen girls joining over the weekend. Everything was really good: the hospitality, the room and bedding, breakfast, local restaurant guide and even the flush at the toilet. Parking was an issue after 8pm as usually all the closest parking lots would be full.”
