"I wish I had read the reviews before I stayed at Ocean Tower - the carpet was disgusting, stained couch, yellowed sheets and the air conditioning barely worked. The room was unbearably hot for sleeping. The kind staff was the only saving grace. I didn't mind all the walking but if you don't like to walk it would be a problem since the tram does not come often. "

Great family suite and pools, a few service misses kept it from being perfect We stayed at Hilton Grand Vacations at Kings’ Land in Waikoloa, Kona from March 12–18 and overall had a very good experience. The resort is beautiful, the suite was huge and spotless every day, and the pools were the highlight—clean, warm, and fun for the kids even when it rained. My children still talk about how much they loved the water slides and lazy river, and that alone made the trip worthwhile. A couple of things did stand out though. We arrived very late on check-in night and asked the front desk if we could buy a couple of bottles of water (everything nearby was closed). The agent said no and didn’t offer any alternatives, yet the guest checking in right next to us was handed three complimentary bottles—odd and a bit frustrating after a long travel day. Our room was always cleaned beautifully, but one evening we returned to find our daughter’s favorite stuffed toy and a few other personal items (left neatly on the nightstand) completely gone. We filed a missing items report right away and are still hoping it turns up. Another day we came back exhausted, ready to cook with groceries we’d bought, only to discover the kitchen sink was completely backed up. Maintenance responded quickly, but it took several hours (and a roto-rooter crew) to fix. We couldn’t use the kitchen at all that night. A simple comp to the on-site restaurant would have been a nice gesture, but the concier"

"This was the best part of our Hawaii trip. I wish we had stayed here the entire time. We actually enjoyed the fact that you will do a good bit of walking here. The tram is great (especially when hauling luggage), but, otherwise, we preferred to stroll the walkway, get some fresh air, and look at the art."

"Unfortunately I am unable to provide information about my stay as I never stayed due to the Kona Storm that hit the Hawaiian Islands. We were unable to travel to Kona from the Island of Lanai because of boat and flight cancellations. Additionally to that it was disappointing that I was unable to switch dates or obtain a refund for this stay. I contacted the host who was unaccommodating to our circumstance. I am hoping they make right of this situation."

"Great two week stay. We may return next year. End unit had pleasant view of landscaped courtyard. Lots of birds including a band of wild turkeys. Easy drive to beaches - A bay, 69, Hapuna, Spenser. 45 minutes to Costco or supermarket in Waimea. Saw eruption at Volcanoes, enjoyed tropical garden again, lots of green sea turtles at black sand beach. Walked coastal trail to A bay every morning. Pleasant entertainment at pool/club in evening. Very nice apartment. Perfect for us 3 active seniors. "

"Very friendly front desk, valet and concierge staff. Concierge was very informative and helpful. They made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Provided lots of options and suggestions for local spots and things to do specific to our needs. Also helped book a cruise through them. Very clean room, amazing location."
