Come to Waldport, where 'The Forest Meets the Sea.' This lovely oceanfront home combines the best of both worlds, with large picture windows framing the beach, and views of evergreen mountains all around.

Well cared-for and newly updated, this bright and sunny one story home offers two plush bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a remodeled kitchen, cozy family room, comfy living room, landscaped yard, and one car garage complete with boogie and skim boards for your use. The family room has a large window-front work space for working away from home or for careful local crafting. Free wifi is available for your convenience, as are books, movies, games, and marshmallow roasting skewers for your enjoyment. Linens and towels are provided. Grocery stores, restaurants, local shops, and gas stations are nearby.

This house is conveniently located on a secluded oceanfront road with only a handful of neighbors. The beach is easily accessible just one house away via public pathway and down several stairs. For visitors from far away, two airports are available: Portland and Eugene. For locals, it's a scenic drive through picturesque mountains or along the breathtakingly beautiful coastline.

Talk about beach access!

The house was just right as a beach house! Clean, comfortable, dog-friendly and perfect location!However, the stairs to the beach (a short set of stairs) has had major damage and repairs are needed. Next door has a good path!

Perfect beach getaway

Relaxing. Beautiful ocean views. Loved being able to walk out the back door and down to the beach, and this is stretch of beach is really nice. Spectacular sunsets. Location perfect. Few minutes from Yachats, Waldport, or Newport. Great time.

Fire Escape

We rented this cottage last minute to escape fire evacuations in Douglas county. The setting is spectacular. We enjoyed morning and evening walks on the beach. The kitchen has everything you need for making meals. The price was right. Not a high end beach house but very nice and comfortable for three nights.

Nice stay at a quieter part of the coast

This oceanfront home had beautiful views. The home was spacious and was located in a less busy section of the Oregon Coast, which we liked. Although there were other homes all around, we didn’t really see anyone else, so it felt like we had the beachfront views to ourselves. On the downside, the stairs for beach access directly in front of the house were in disrepair and blocked off, which was mentioned in the listing, but a bummer nonetheless. And the beds were not the most comfortable; one bed in particular leaned to one side and sunk in the middle. The couple in that room didn’t sleep very well, unfortunately. Operating the washing machine was tricky initially, but we got it figured out without having to bother anyone with questions. The house could use a little bit of a refresh, but it was clean, which we appreciated. All things considered, we enjoyed our weekend and our stay.

Pleasantly Suprised!

After booking(pretty last minute) I read the detailed reviews and was sure we made a huge mistake booking this place. Maybe it was because we went into it expecting the worst, but we were pleasantly surprised by this great beach home! We visited while the gorgeous hydrangea in the front of the home was in full bloom(mid July). The old carpet has been removed and replaced with tile in the home. The bedrooms have what looked to be brand new carpet in them. Everything was very clean. Yes, it has a bit of a musty smell at first, but not of dog or pet urine as older reviews had mentioned. The furniture is pretty old and could use updating.The kitchen is clean and has all the appliances you'll need. The only complaint is that the dining table is permanently sticky. It needs a good sanding and polyurethane finish. Maybe bring a small table cloth and that will take care of that. The bed mattresses are indeed old, but were clean and comfortable. The stairs down to the beach were still in disrepair, but we were able to hop up and down with no problem. The next door neighbors had no problem with us using theirs. The tv was hard to use, but we didn't mind. Overall, we had a wonderful visit. The beach is amazing and the view is sublime.

Loved this house and its location wonderful ocean view! Lovely and the layout was great! The only issues were that we couldn’t get the house warm and the shower door in one of the bathrooms fell off . Otherwise it’s wonderful.

Sweet place, great location.

This place was perfect for our family as we were able to let the kiddo play on the beach without having g to go anywhere. The house was cute and a good size. Only thing I can say is there could be a bit more upkeep done to make for more comfort.

I really liked the house and view, especially it's proximity to Big Stump. It was in need of some winter maintenance, but noting major. I was a little disappointed that the garage and stair case out back were unaccessible , but there was beach access.

Two gripes - first is not having any propane in the bbq tank (for the price, I would expect it to be included). Second is not having any wood for the stove. Beautiful Week in Waldport

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were here for 6 days. The house sleeps 8 people very well. Beach access was as advertised, just a few steps away. There were multiple places to sit at the edge of the year and enjoy watching surf and sunsets. This is the 1st time staying at this location, but 3rd time in Waldport. This was my wife's favorite. Even now we wished we'd stayed longer. We took full advantage of the kitchen for breakfast most mornings and lunch, and ate in Waldport or Newport for dinners. You have to try China Restaurant in Waldport. Can wait to get back to this location next year.

Furniture and beds are only moderately comfortable. We enjoyed the fire pit out back. If you need any items for cooking be sure to bring them, the kitchen is sparse. The beach access is unusable, we used a kind neighbors. Check with management about repair. Good value for the cost.

Great Location, comfortable house

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our Google map app led us right to the front door. The house really fit our needs- nice kitchen, bedrooms, access and dog friendly. We really enjoyed our week here. My only suggestion, as a landlord, would be to replace the carpet with the linoleum planks like in the bathrooms to make the house much more maintenance easy. The location is great - when I wasn't cooking in we went to Newport for dinners. Local Ocean Seafood was by far the favorite, probably the best seafood on the west coast. Make a reservation though, and go early. Not really more expensive than the deep fried places, just masterfully prepared dishes. PS, our 2 dachshunds just loved the beach and the little creek just south of the property.

Perfect Home on a Perfect Beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of five adults and two small children loved this house and location. The house has a nice deck, a lower level grassy (weedy) area for cornhole, dogs and children. There are approximately ten steps leading to the sand and the beach. The house was equipped with pile of towels and several soap pods for laundry. Plenty of dishes and glasses. If you’re coffee drinkers I would bring a carafe to store enough coffee for a large group. Just one house away was a fresh water stream that flowed towards the ocean. The children could dig, crawl and play in at a safe distance from the ocean. The beach is wide and very long; great for walks. The only thing I see as a potential problem is the extra large house next door. We were lucky an older group was there and they were quiet.
