Quiet Weekend.

Rented this in order to attend our grandsons' birthday party which was nearby. This was a convenient and comfortable place to stay. Enjoyed it.

A mid-week getaway

Nice location within walking distance to several restaurants. The loft was clean and cozy. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay and would recommend for a night or two stay if you are in the area.

Perfect retreat

Enjoyed a long weekend getaway to this quaint town. Great location to access lakes and waterfalls. Just enough restaurant options and plenty of friendly folks. Didn’t get to hike all the waterfalls on my list so will definitely be back to Walhalla!

Unique place!

I used this spot as a home base for some hiking at Oconee State Park & Stumphouse Tunnel, and it did not disappoint! It’s a very well done renovation of a very old and creaky building, but it was pretty spectacular.

Charming and cozy loft

We enjoyed our stay at the lofts over main. It was clean and cozy. There was great coffee, restaurants, and shopping close by. We enjoyed trout fishing a short drive away. The property manager was excellent. The loft was a great place for a calm relaxing get away.

Everything from meals to morning coffee & sandwiches were within walking distance. Other than the TV remote needing batteries & 1 side of the bed having a noticeable dip, everything was great.

Loved this VRBO! Historic yet updated with unique rustic décor! Comfortable bed, comfortable temperature. Appreciated the "little extras": Tea, Keurig with variety of k-cups and provided 2 doggie bowls and food mat. This loft was cute and cozy and appreciated local small town shops and restaurants.

Refined Rustic Retreat

The Lofts Over Main represent the perfect blend of refined and rustic. The loft is a perfect blend of old and new, and is centrally located within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. We were in love with this unit ! Amazing detail and the host was simply amazing and very responsive ( almost Immediately )…. We just wish the couch was a sleeper sofa since we will be back in April with our two teenage kids to see a Metallica cover band … we would love to stay again if that upgrade could be accommodated …

Great space, needs a couple fixes

We enjoyed our time here, and agree with other reviews; great location, design and amenities. As honest feedback though, there are a few things that could be addressed to make it even better: 1. The street entrance door no longer latches; so every time you leave, you have to stand there and hold the door closed for a minute or so until the auto lock engages. 2. The king mattress has huge dip on one side; another reviewer mentioned it as well. 3. The yoga studio below has aerial chains hanging from the ceiling; when they are being used, the noise upstairs is loud and crazy, like sitting inside a giant coffee maker. Not sure if there's anything you can do about it, and it was only for an hour or so mid-morning, but we would probably choose the other loft next time if it's available for this reason. Overall, still a great option for staying in Walhalla.

This space is so rad! My 17 year old son and I stayed here after a funeral. We were both feeling low, but pulling up in front of the loft instantly cheered us a bit. The further we got into the loft and the more we saw, the more our sadness faded. It's teen approved as "cool", lol. We met the renters of the other unit once, but otherwise barely knew they were there. There is a tavern behind the loft that we didn't go to, but we could hear live music playing outside (it was a Friday night). I opened the back window and let the soft sounds float in - it was very soothing after such a hard morning. Music ended promptly at 10pm and after closing the window, the noise from below wasn't a bother at all. The loft is on popular street, so there was street traffic outside the window by the bed, but it wasn't too bad. The owners have everything covered at this place. Amazing k-cups, soft towels, a cozy bed, and a very helpful binder with local to-dos. Also, communication was fantastic. THANK YOU! I already want to go back.
