“This is our 2nd stay at the "Cape Cod". The house is quiet, clean, and modern. Heather is very responsive. The Middletown location provided us with convenient access for our outings to Gettysburg, Emmitsburg, MD and Frederick.”

“We loved being all together and the house allowed for us to do that. Check in was easy. Location was great-nice off the main road but close to towns. Historic home so we expect the tiny door into the small room. We expect the themed rooms to compliment the hunter theme. Huge turkey was a turn off above the bed. We did not appreciate the dust all around, old beds, and stains on bedding. Kitchen pots and pans need updating. We ordered out food for most of our meals. Never heard back from with host……

“Lovely well kept property. It has everything you need. Comfortable beds and convenient location. The only drawback is the front bedroom has LOTS of street noise. I used a fan for white noise and earplugs. It’s on a busy street. Fire Station is nearby too. Great park for kids across the street. Close to a few great restaurants within walking distance.”

“There were 12 of us staying in this charming historic house. We never felt crowded - ample beds and seating for all. This place is soooo well-stocked. Plenty of linens, spices, aluminum foil, dishes, cookware, etc. I could not have asked for a better place. If you love historic homes, you will be wowed by this one. We will definitely stay again when we return to Gettysburg. Thank you!”

“The property was perfect for our stay. The property is newly remodeled and very comfortable. It is an historic property that has been nicely updated. Towels, shampoos, coffees, teas were provided, which is always a nice touch. The location is great for walking around town. Off-street parking allows you to hop in your vehicle and drive without having to fuss about parking. It is a perfect place for adults. The stairs are a bit narrow, but there is a railing. I think because it is a relatively new……

“Great place! Had everything we could need. Was decorated with Christmas/ winter decora (nice touch). Now a days most rentals just the bare minimum. It was nice to not have to go spend an extra $40-$50 on household supplies. My family really enjoyed our stay!!”

“The house has an amazing layout. It needs a very deep cleaning and much repair. When we took sheets off a bed in order to change them for a different person, the mattress was very stained. Same was true for some of the pillows. We felt we had to wash the linens ourselves to ensure cleanliness. A lot of things are in disrepair like the shower does not drain in the master. Towel rack broken. Kitchen drawer door broken. The towels provided were very small and very thin. Bring your own beach towels……

“The area was beautiful and very quite! We loved the cabin we stayed in. While we did run into some minor issues, staff was VERY accommodating and attentive. We hope to come back and would love to stay on the grounds again. They love dogs and that made us feel more comfortable. The pool was awesome, as was the arcade room for our younger members of the group! ”
