Great location, so close to beach!
Cottage had everything we needed for a well deserved get away. Loved the location and we were very comfortable staying there. One exception was the pillows on the beds we used definitely need to be replaced. They are old&stained. Otherwise this was perfect!

Nice Stay
The place was easy to find and clean. It is very well stocked with any and everything you may need. The neighborhood was quiet and the beds were comfy. It does not have AC but a fan is there. The lock box is hars to open and close, that was the only thing we had trouble with. The owner gives great info and communications. We will say there again when in the area! Thanks for a nice stay! House between the lake and ocean
Its a great place to stay especially if tou like to be around water like I do. Its close to everything and walking distance to the beach and lake. We loved being able to cook and do laundry. They had everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again.

So cozy and cute!
We had such a relaxing stay here. The beds were so comfortable and the bathroom is large! Most of all - I accidentally left behind a diamond necklace that the cleaning team secured and mailed back to me. We will be back!

Great little cottage in an awesome location!
Stayed 3 nights at this property and we all loved it! Beds were comfortable, lots of space and house is well-stocked. Theres a little park down the road that my 9 year old played at. Beach acess was wonderful and just a short drive (could have walked but didnt) down the road. Would stay again!

Great family stay!
We loved this cute cottage! It’s way bigger than it looks from the front! The set up was great and the kids loved the bunk room. The beach was an easy walk away and the neighborhood is nice. It is handy for everything and a great place to recuperate after a long day enjoying the area. Thanks for a great stay!

Short getaway with family
My husband and 2 kids stayed at the cottage for 2 nights and my brothers and their kids stopped by for lunch and dinner our 2nd day. This beach cottage was really cute and what we liked was that it was very well stocked with towels and washcloths in the bath and kitchen. The kitchen was also well equipped and had most spices you would need. What we felt could be improved was that it was really dusty because of old carpet and furniture. The nearby lake was fun to take our kids out on the inflatable kayak. The beach was windy during the day but it died down around sunset for a nice walk. It’s a long flat beach and plenty of people were driving on it so it depends on if that is your preference. We enjoyed visiting nearby Astoria, Ft. Stevens and Lewis and Clark NP. It had a cute coffee shop down the road across from the park near the lake.

Good location, could use some updates
The house was clean and had room for many guests and toys for kids. Location is good as you can walk to the beach and the nearby lake. Also there's a great bakery just down the street. Some of the bed linens (mattress pad, foam mattress topper in main bedroom) need to be replaced and some of the throw pillows need to be thrown. The couch has seen better days and is not very comfortable to sit on. We attended a wedding reception in Gearhart and it was an easy drive there.

As of yesterday, the couch and pillows were replaced. Queen size bed as well. Many updates. New chairs in the living room as well.

Good location
Location was great. However, this cottage needs some seious updates. One bathroom for a large group was a problem and the towels were leftovers from "grandma's house". The kitchen pans are terrible--it was not "well-stocked". Again, very old pans, some were dirty. The living area is not set up for a family. The "sofa" had a cover on, just an old couch that was awful with an old cover. It needs new furniture that people can actually sit on, not leftover kitchen chairs. The table seated 4, and the counter had 2 wobbly stools. The kitchen cabinets have areas that are peeling. Also, the beds were awful. The bed I slept on was full size, not queen. Everyone complained about their beds. Lastly, there were so many knick knacks that we had to move to use the counters, hang towels, etc. Overall, this cottage needs serious updating.

The crazy part, 99% of people say the house is stocked well. Items in the house are for deco, sorry you had to move some. As for beds, most everyone is fine with them. New chairs were put in the week before you showed up. The couch has a pull out bed. You guys went through 12-15 rolls of toilet paper. I left 8 and got you more. The VRBO, says one bathroom. You knew that when you booked it. I do my best, and can't please everyone. Next time you book 8 people, you should book accordingly.

Annual Trek to Sunset Beach
This was our fourth trip to this property. We love being close to a quiet beach but within easy proximity to both Astoria and Seaside. My kids also love the TV and DVD choices (we don't have a TV at home), and we always make use of the games closet. All this with a useable kitchen and access to a reasonably priced grocery store (Fred Meyer in Warrenton) make it a fun and affordable getaway for our family. -- Could use a new can opener though. The one in the kitchen seems to be on its last legs.

Shabby Chic
This cute little house has a lot of potential but needs some updates - new mattresses and living room sofa & chairs would make a huge difference in making this house more comfortable. Overall it was pretty clean but could use a new shower curtain liner ASAP! Good spot for a girls weekend. Good location and close to Sunset Beach.

Over the years, some people want firm, and some want soft mattresses. I do my best. I have a new shower curtain in the back room, and thought my cleaner replaced it. I will on Tuesday. I try and please everyone, and not always easy. Glad you liked the location.

Exploring the North Coast.
We had a great time. Perfect location, between Seaside and Astoria. Everything was just as described. So nice to have a 'home' to come back to and relax, after a day of exploring. Kitchen set up nicely for cooking our meals. A lot of books, coloring stuff and games to keep the kids happy. Close to the beach, too. Ken was very responsive to any issues that came up. We really appreciated that. We will definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises. ~Sandi

Simple Cottage
This home was perfect for a quick stay on the coast for our family to go clam digging. It was close to the beach access and there was a small restaurant and park within walking distance. The cottage itself was simple, but adequate for a short stay.

Great area & adequate place
The neighborhood was nice and quiet. The kids enjoyed the park that is just up the road. The house was snug for 8 but we didn't need much for our quick trip. There was only 1 bathroom but at least there was 2 sinks to make getting ready faster for our family.

Nice place to stay
Overall this property provided most of the amenities and space we needed for a family of 4. It would be a great place to stay for a group focused on spending most of their time outside of the house. My wife was working during our stay there and remarked that the internet quality was not the greatest. I think they have DSL from the equipment they had there. She just used her hotspot, so it was an addressable issue. Might be something to either upgrade or have guests keep in mind if they need to work remotely during their stay.

Great Experience
Everything was as described and pictured. It was comfortable and a good location for shopping and the things we like to do in the area. We had a problem with the satellite TV but I spoke with the owner and he had someone come to fix it within a few hours.

Cute house, sore back
The house is exactly as described in the listing, very cute! An easy walk to the beach and so close to The Nest bakery (best scones I've ever had!) for a quick bite to eat. However, the mattress in the master bedroom was so difficult to sleep on that we ended up switching to the bunk beds the next night. Also it would have been helpful to be told that shoes would need to be removed in the house before we got there - I would have brought my slippers had I known! Otherwise it's a sweet and charming little house.

Nice cozy house
Place was clean and comfortable. Kids enjoyed the games. We came on day of a bad storm but thankfully the power stayed on in the house! No toiletries included so make sure to bring soap/shampoo. Ken was super easy to connect with and quick to respond.

Great Beach House in Astoria
This was exactly as advertised and more. Our hosts communicated the check in information to us early and provided clear directions to the house. We had a great, clean place to stay with all of the amenities we needed to visit with family. We also enjoyed the close proximity to the beautiful sunset beach. We even experienced wildlife up close that we came across on our walk to the beach using the nearby trailhead. We will definitely be staying here again when our travels take us back to the Oregon coast.

Great spot for a vacation!
We stayed here several times now and really enjoy it. We like the location because it’s just in between Seaside and Astoria so you can visit both places with ease! The kitchen is well stocked and it’s a nice roomy house.

Third Stay at Sunset Beach
This was our third time at this property, and we enjoyed our stay, as always. The kids were happy to find new bunk beds and an upgraded TV in "their room" this year. This was also the first time we tried the bakery at the end of the street: highly recommended.

Beautiful Home near the Beach
This was our second time staying at this property and it’s so wonderful! It’s super close to sunset beach and a short drive to seaside, Astoria, and cannon beach! There’s a binder full of things to do nearby that makes staying busy super easy! Had a small problem with one of the light fixtures and the owner got back to me right away about how to fix it!!

Close to beach and trails
We enjoyed our stay in Sunset Beach. The house is within walking distance to the beach and a great hiking trail. We also loved the little bakery down the street. The area is quiet and not as crowded as Cannon Beach, although you are very close to more touristy areas if you want to venture out. House had everything we needed for a weekend stay. We would love to come back and stay longer next time.

My husband and I had everything we needed to feel comfortable and enjoy our stay m. Good kitchen with everything we needed to prepare meals. Nice comfortable bedroom, bed and bathroom. My only mark down is with the living room furniture which my husband and I found very uncomfortable. It would be worth an upgrade to make that room more inviting.

We had a great time! Loved the house Loved the location. Only con was it was so cold when we got there, I get saving money on utilities, but 45⁰ was COLD! maybe warm it up the day of guest arrival? And the Bathtub drain didn't work which was hard for bathing kiddos. Other than that we would definitely stay there again!

Away from the tourist, quite neighborhood. Perfect location, short drive to seaside or short drive to goonies house. Was a great trip. Only minor inconvenience was the yard was full of dog poo. Kids hard a time not stepping in it.

The property manager was very great with communication! Apon arrival it was very easy to access property. The house is fully stocked on linens and cooking utensils. Very kid friendly! From toys to kid movies to step stools in the bathroom for smaller children. It was my husband and I and our 5 kids plus my son's grandma and uncle came to visit for one night. It's been a very pleasant stay here and it's close to all amenities! Has laundry on site. Which is so helpful with how many people are in our family. Definitely would stay here again. We come here every spring break and hope this place is available.
