“Very clean and comfortable with interesting decorations. Went to view the eclipse and the staff called before we arrived to ask if they should set aside eclipse glasses for us. Above and beyond! On site staff was also very helpful. Minor bummer was that the ice machine was broken. Located right in the middle of cute gift shops and nice restaurants. The whole town was hospitable towards the horde of tourists.”

“Our room was conveniently located in the heart of the resort! Someone in an earlier review mentioned the gondola being right outside the room. Yes it is and that is your view but the gondola only runs during the day and you can hardly hear it. I would definitely stay here again.”

“First time at a ski resort. It was a bit noisy during the day, but the room was clean and comfortable.”

“Very friendly staff, very apologetic for the elevators not working or the restaurant still closed. They reopened the day of the total eclipse, about 9 months after the catastrophic flooding of Montpelier's downtown area. They did a fantastic job making, what they called "soft opening" happen just in time for the big event. ”

“Hyde Away Inn, though rustic and simple, was perfectly enjoyable. Accommodations were spare but comfortable and dinner and breakfast excellent. Staff were friendly, courteous and timely. Really a nice place if you don't need all the bells and whistles. The basics were just fine.”

“Older hotel. Room was clean but could use updating. Lots of restaurants close by including one in the hotel. Employees were friendly. Indoor pool and hot tub a nice feature.”
