「I was in Vicksburg for a week, on business. The year before, I stayed in a hotel on the other side of town. This time, I wanted to be downtown, making the flavor of the town more accessible. I was not disappointed. This place is utterly charming, a well-preserved taste of the 1800s, in which the house was built. 「Nice old place in decent shape. The breakfasts were wonderful. Not having someone there, other than the lady who came in to cook and serve breakfast, was somewhat of a negative, as we would have liked to ask questions, especially in the evenings, about places to eat and things to do. Also, a bathtub/shower, with no really hard-mounted grab bars, is not really good for seniors」

「Our room was so dirty. Baseboards were gross. Black mold in the bathroom. Floor turned out feet black. Couch had rips in the fabric. Cowling was crumbling around air vents. Super close to a busy road. Had to climb 3 flights of steep stairs to get to our room. The whole place is a safety violation. And so dirty!!! We were catfished for sure. Also, in a shady part of town. This place has fencing but not a locked gate system.」

「The place was very clean but it is very old and no updates have been done in many, many years. WiFi did not work and there was no one for help after 10:30 pm. The bed was comfortable and the room was adequate for our short night stay.」

「I would stay away from this property. The room was dirty, moldy, and pest ridden. The continental breakfast was non-existent. The staff was surly and unhelpful. The room was dirty. The counter tops had not been cleaned and had a greasy sheen on them. There was hair underneath the mattress and around the floor of the beds. I doubt they had used a clean rag or a working vacuum cleaner when they "cleaned" the room. The room was moldy. There was a strong odor fungus through out the room. The air...

「From the coutside and getting to the location, we were a little worried but room was clean and inviting. Not a 5 star iobviously, but after we did a little search, we found a great little rooftop restaurant right around the corner.」
