“We needed a place to relax after a day of snowmobiling in Gaylord and this home fit the bill perfectly. Spacious and charming it was like we were time-warped back to the 50's/60's. The original cabin, along with the addition, allowed the four of us plenty of room for sleeping and lounging. It was a pleasure to meet the owner and get the history of the property. He was very informative and easily accessible if needed. Our winter trip was awesome and I know we'll be back in the summer to enjoy the……

“The inside appears recently redone and clean. Great little place for two people to stay while golfing in the area. Would be very tight for more than two people. A rustic place with a small shower, coffee maker, small microwave, nice streaming capable TV, fireplace, and comfy beds. Not sure if it has AC.”

“The location is okay but we were mostly coming to get into the water and go canoeing which we were told there were canoes and kayaks on site and a place to drop in. That is correct however they did not mention the extremely steep incline hill of mud and roots to get into and out of the water and the length of the incline which is absolutely not doable so basically the ploy to get us on site and booked dropped many stars for our family. If I were to just rate the house that was a 4.”

“The Gaylord location was perfect for our Newberry UP and Grand Rapids family to meet for the weekend. Having bedrooms on three different levels supplied ample privacy. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare large meals with plenty of dishes and utensils. Beds were fresh and comfortable and bathrooms had tons of towels for our group. “This was an adequate property. Most everything you could need for an extended stay and close to lots of activities in Frederic, Grayling, Kalkaska, and other places in the upper Michigan mitten. Property manager was helpful with problems (particularly a problem with Roku, but later the day of arrival we determined that the Roku stick had been removed from tv and was under the TV stand). No local TV (no antenna for local OTA, but may have been too far from Grayling to pick up area channels. Due……

“The house & bunkhouse were exactly what we wanted for our weekend. We did a combined bachelorette/Bachelor party weekend, so the boys stayed in the bunkhouse and the girls stayed in the house. The house has a large entertaining area that was perfect to play games and hang out all together. The patio & dock were also the perfect spot for hanging out with a beautiful view of the lake. This was the perfect little retreat location and we will definitely be back!”
