“We really enjoyed our stay at the Stables. It was very tranquil. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio. The property was clean and comfortable. Two highlights to mention. The laundry facilities were excellent. There is also a very pleasant walking path from the Stables to Shere that takes about 1 hour. For those not used to driving on narrow English roads, be sure to come in from the north through the village of Farley Green. ”

“On arrival it was a bit dark. No lightning to cabins. I think maybe solar lightning or something!! Stepped into cabin it was nice and warm as picked the coldest night of the year so dar to turn up. Host left lights on so we could see inside. Bathroom was great, double bed comfortable nice thick duvet as it was cold. Kitchenette was just the right size for the cabin. “The Shepherds Hut was fantastic. Friday night was great. Romantic as we wanted. Very cosy!Saturday night was ruined somewhat. A couple of power cuts forced a move to a larger accommodation, although good, lost the tranquility of the Shepherds Hut. Neither of us slept very well, both finding the bed in the new accommodation most uncomfortable!We left Westerland @ 1000 am, both wanting to get on with the rest of our weekend.”

“We had a wonderful short break to Cattlestone Farm to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Despite less than ideal weather we enjoyed a comfortable and luxurious stay and felt truly away from it all.
