Tour Holkham Hall, an 18th-century Palladian-style house with incredible interiors, or head to the long, sandy beach, less than 1 mile away, for endless strolls with incredible views. Renowned as one of the best in the country, Holkham Beach has colourful huts and a popular cafe, backed by woodland with hides for wildlife-watching. For enticing shops and places to eat and drink, try Wells-next-the-Sea, Burnham Market and Holt, all within 13 miles. Go on a seal-spotting boat trip from Morston Quay, 8.5 miles, or venture to Sandringham, 18.5 miles, to explore the royal country park, gardens and museum.


This traditional, barrel-shaped shepherd’s hut has been designed to a larger-than-average specification, providing a spacious, comfortable and convenient haven for your Norfolk escape. With additional insulation and full central heating, it’s cosy and welcoming in every season. Follow the steps up to the front door to find a versatile, open-plan layout that combines a kitchen, sitting area and sleeping space, decorated in a soothing colour palette that evokes the surrounding countryside. The high-quality kitchen, fitted with slate counters, a butler’s sink, oven, induction hob and microwave, has everything you need to create delicious meals, which you can enjoy at the oak breakfast bar looking out across the meadow. After days in the great outdoors, stretch out on the inviting sofa and unwind with a film on the Smart TV. Then, when night falls, drift into sleep in the king-size bed, which has hanging storage adjacent and room for luggage below, as well as a snug dog den for four-pawed pals. A separate shower room completes this charming retreat, offering a rainfall shower and a conventional WC.


Amid delightful landscaping with hedges and fencing for privacy, the hut is just one of four stylish retreats and comes with a private patio where you can relax in the sunshine or enjoy stargazing in the dark skies.
