“Everybody working in the hotel is very nice firendly and hulpful Food variation each day at lunch and dunner . Around the pool people put towels on the beds for alll their stay. Hôtel shouldnt give the opportunity ti do it . You can also ask to put beds on the beach which we preferred. Animation each evening is ok. We enjoyed our stay at sunset beach .hotel.”

“It was pretty empty so we almost had the entire hotel to ourselves. The beach and the premises are beautiful and the room was large and airy. The staff were pretty inconsistent, with some rather distant and others really great to chat with. It was Ramadan so it is understandable. Some areas of the hotel could need some renovation. Especially the bathroom seemed a bit outdated, but not a big thing.”

“Nice basic accommodation in a great location. Rooms are comfortable and clean but no frills. Pool area is nice, the bar next to it is good for cheap beer and snacks. Restaurant on-site is pretty good. Air conditioning costs extra but I think it's reasonable (plus it cools off enough at night to where it's not necessary, especially for downstairs rooms). It's close to the main beaches and nightlife in Kololi and Senegambia, and getting a quick taxi to them is easy. If you're looking to hang out……

“Officially the Kairaba is still rated as a 5* hotel, the only one as far as we know in Gambia. And this is still visible with respect to the quality of the room furniture and the installation and the way the staff deals with wishes (addressed at the reception) or problems (e.g. a problem with water leakage in the toilet got immediately fixed by an experienced craftsmen after we told the room service about it and she had called her colleague). However, the hotel has been closed for 3 years due to……

“We loved our week long stay at Nemasu eco lodge.Its in a beautiful setting, right next to the beach.In the middle of gardens and palm trees, with monkeys and birds. Is a local lodge with the benefits going to local people.Staff very helpful and will organise trips for you.Food good .Lodges are large and comfy with a veranda for relaxing ”

“They didn’t know I was arriving, reception kept me waiting for ages, so I had to wait a good while, even though I arrived at night from a flight and was super tired. The room was not as the picture depicted. The picture had modern furnishings or at least nicer but what I got was an old sofa that made me scratch myself just looking at it a cooker that the receptionist couldn’t get to work and just a general look of stale and gloomy. The colour scheme was not welcoming. The TV in the room didn’t……
