"Lovely walkable location in quaint town"

"Not a 4star property. It is all rather tired. We expected our room to be made up each day - didn’t happen. Breakfast comprised of stale pastries, sausage patties and potatoes that were barely warm and had been standing for too long. The coffee was undrinkable it was all counter service and clear your own table Not 4 star standard by any stretch of the imagination. Bed was very soft so we did not sleep well and left after breakfast today feeling nauseous "

"Overall great amenities and great price"

"Parking lot filthy dirty, alcohol bottles, trash all over. Upon arrival I see 2 guys climbing out window from their room. Back door is never locked, area around it also filthy including hallway inside. NOT at all pet friendly, no where to walk dog All night long people yelling, fighting, etc front desk does nothing. Room (bed area) clean, tub so disgusting I wouldn't go in it."

"A lovely stay at The Alander, the host allowed was very accommodating and friendly. The rooms are cozy and designed beautifully.The cute restaurant attached to the hotel had a lovely staff who gave us a bag of ice for our room. The grounds are very relaxing and the atmosphere fun. That rain shower in the bathroom is truly heavenly. Thank you Copake, we will be back. "
