Since this cottage is directly in front of the steps to the private beach, it has people from other cottages passing by the windows frequently. “Walking into the property was picturesque. The cottages have pretty landscaping, the architecture and weathered shake shingles say welcome to New England and when you get a view of the ocean you know you found a beautiful spot to spend time. The Whale Cottage did need minor repairs and why I did not rate it 5 stars. The large oceanfront window would not lock or close tightly and the front screen door was secured with white duct tape.
