Welcome to our cabin, "Above the Clouds"! Upon arriving, you'll see how it earned its name. Located about 15 minutes from downtown West Jefferson, NC.
When you stay at our cabin, you will get the feeling of being on top of the world overlooking our majestic Blue Ridge Mountains. You and your family will enjoy spending quality time in our 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom cabin with Wi-Fi, AC, wood burning fireplace, breathtaking views, charcoal grill and MORE (sorry but no pets allowed). Conveniently located just minutes to downtown West Jefferson with ALL paved access, close to dining, shopping, hiking, fishing, canoeing, The Blue Ridge Parkway and all other activities and attractions. West Jefferson is about a 10-15 minute drive and Boone is approximately an easy 35 minutes away. 16 Hands Farm is a very popular rustic barn venue for weddings & private parties and we're located just 10 minutes away!
Main Floor: Enjoy our open floor plan with the living room with a floor to ceiling stoned wood burning fireplace, flat screen cable TV, dining area, comfortable seating and hardwood floors. Our step-saver kitchen has the modern conveniences of home with a built in microwave, dishwasher & 4 burner gas stove/oven.
The master bedroom with a comfy king size bed is also on the main floor. Across the hall from the bedroom, you'll never want to leave our luxurious bathroom with tiled walk-in shower, jetted whirlpool tub and new tile floor.
Upper Floor: The upper floor has another queen size bedroom and a full bathroom. The loft has an air hockey table for hours of fun.
Lower Level: The lower level has the 3rd bedroom with 2 hand crafted log XL twin beds, family area with flat screen TV, couch and recliner. Plus, there is a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo on this level. Have fun playing a friendly game of Foosball as well. The washer and dryer is also on this level.
Outside: Enjoy grilling your favorite food on our charcoal grill while taking in the views. We know that everyone will just love spending quality time on our covered deck with plenty of seating. You will be in awe of the breathtaking long range mountain views.

***Must be at least 25 years old to rent.
***NO house parties allowed at any time or risk being evicted with no refund.
2 night minimum during off peak times
3 night minimum during MLK, Memorial Day, Labor Day and the entire month of October (leaf season)
4 night minimum for Thanksgiving (Wednesday - Sunday)
7 night minimum for the July 4th holiday and the Christmas/New Year holidays
****Important Notes:
-This cabin is accessed by a long steep paved roads. Tire chains and 4WD/AWD may be necessary during the winter months.
-The owners use outdoor surveillance cameras to ensure that their home remains safe. No cameras monitor the inside rooms of the home.
-Cell phone coverage is not guaranteed. The home does have WIFI so you may be able to call using WIFI calling.

As you plan your trip to the mountains, please remember we do get rain, snow, ice and some very foggy days with occasional inconveniences which are out of our control. Winter weather in the Blue Ridge Mountains can occur from November through April. The majority of our homes are accessed by mountain roads, which may be icy and slick during the winter months. For the safety of you and your guests, please be prepared to drive in snow and/or ice.
