“We enjoyed our stay here, the room was comfortable and we were well looked after. Our room was up stairs and a slightly awkward space, but it goes with a characterful old building and was not a problem.The breakfast was extremely good.”

“The room was okay, the bed was dirty the floors not great either. The fridge stunk !! I booked a room, upon arrival i was informed my bed was already sold to someone else and was forced to pay an additional fee for an upgrade as that was all that was available. Was told it's that or cancel the booking even though the email stated no refunds !! I had roaches running around and felt stuff crawling on me. Never again !! R550 paid for a terrible night of little sleep and i could not even……

Die Lage ist hervorragend: Von hier aus hat man beste Möglichkeiten zur Walbeobachtung, und auch zahlreiche Restaurants sind bequem erreichbar. Besonders schön ist die Kombination aus der ruhigen Lage und der Nähe zu den wichtigsten Anlaufpunkten. Das Frühstück war……

“This hotel was absolutely stunning it was boutique small it sits right next to this beautiful church on Sunday morning I could hear the bells chiming I just loved it. My room was amazing. I had a big king size bed and a private little swimming pool in the back with a patio that was just wonderful. More than anything was the staff… Nelson the manager was just lovely and everyone of those girls from housekeeping to the staff making our breakfast every morning that was outstanding! I can’t wait……

“On arrival we were greeted by Marcia who made us so welcome. She was so friendly and really helpful. We stayed in the Rose suite which is stunning, very comfortable king bed, spacious room and bathroom. Breakfast was outside on the veranda with beautiful views of the garden and ocean. Very quiet and peaceful location and very good value for money.”

“We loved the hotel and its location. Our rm #7 was great with its nice bathroom and terrific deck with lounge chairs. We had an outstanding meal at their restaurant, Blue, and a terrific snack of sushi and oysters at The Oyster Lounge. Highly recommend Tje Abalone!”

“This hotel has NO AC…please be mindful when booking as we booked assuming there was A/C paid and upon check-in we were told there was no A/C. It was extremely hot and unfortunately had to check out a night early with no-refund. The property is breathtaking and the staff and super hospitable…but unfortunately we could not enjoy due to the massive heat. Also the walk to the beach is very dangerous and slippery if you are alone. Be careful! ”
