Absolutely stunning scenery, proper middle of nowhere location with footpaths and bridleways galore. Our dog particularly enjoyed the extended walks. The barn is really well done throughout, plenty of space in all areas to relax, and we loved the simplicity of the rules - no extra charges for the dog, more firewood for the log burner just left in covered bins to help yourself rather than being an extra charge. We would love to come back again!

Amazing retreat

Excellent support for directions, checkin and arrival. An amazing location (isolated) with comfortable fresh accommodation and necessary cutlery. With more time some great wales to be had but was a lovely location. Sophie met us as we arrived and gave good briefing to help us settle in and get our bearings. Definitely a location & venue we’d all like to return to.

Very relaxing, peaceful break in this spacious - three beds and there were only two of us and a dog - comfortable cottage on a working farm. Furnishings are plain but comfortable and practical. Kitchen is well equipped. WiFi is good. Garden furniture so that you can sit outside would have been good. Under floor heating takes some figuring out but the weather was good so not an issue for us. A lovely barn and very comfortable. Location is remote over the moors but that is what we were looking for. Some issues with missing items in the kitchen but this was soon rectified by the manager who could not have been more helpful.

We absolutely loved Westerdale Barn.

We absolutely loved Westerdale Barn. The surrounding area is beautiful and unspoilt. The barn was comfortable, clean and ideal for my family of 4, plus Granny and her dog. It could only be improved with a view. My children loved the fact there was a games room and other children to play with.
