Kids loved the decor in the upper rooms. They read the books and chilled on the bean bags. Short drive to stores.Only drawback was the 1 bathroom. We made it work but it was hard.

Due the weather we did not use the hot tub or lake activities. The home is well maintained, clean and as advertised. The host was available to answer questions. Instructions tor arrival were clear. Two minor issues: The house number is not available from the street. It would be nice if the number is on the house by the street. There are four ceiling fan/light remotes. The batteries were dead or missing, so the controls wouldn't work. We replaced the batteries so we could control them.

It is the perfect place!
Wonderful place to stay. It was nice, clean, and well decorated. Roundlake was beautiful and the house is so close to everything you need. The hosts were sweet and accommodating as well. I promise to come back and stay again. I cannot recommend this property enough. 10 out of 10.

Girls Weekend
My friends and I went there for an extended weekend and had a wonderful time. The house was just like the pictures and the view of the lake was gorgeous. The property does have well water, so I would recommend bringing bottled water for drinking, but I would absolutely stay here again.

Unwelcoming!!
The house and location was very nice. When I booked our stay there was a pontoon boat available for rent. A few days before our trip, I inquired about fishing license while on the boat. I received a very short reply that “there is no boat there anymore.” I asked if there were other options to rent a boat and never received a reply. I was looking at the listing again and saw that the boat option was removed and there was additional information that was not originally posted. There are cameras, one being on the hot tub “for security and to ensure rules are followed.” I have rented several places for years and have NEVER had a camera on the hot tub! This was a family vacation and I for one am not comfortable having my grandchildren be filmed while in a hot tub! There were rules posted with exclamation points, and in the binder the rules are highlighted and emphasized with rudeness. At one point my husband messaged him, concerned about the water level in the hot tub, he has the water hose locked up, and his immediate response was “have you been jumping in and out of it splashing water out?” Like I said earlier, I have rented several places for years and never I have ever been so unwelcome by the host. I honestly don’t think this is something Joseph should be doing, he seems way to worried about his rules being followed and not so much about his guests feeling welcome and comfortable. I am a rule follower, and ALWAYS respect properties I rent, I think most do.

Nice place bad outdoors
Lake and dock are not usable, deck has no railings and not safe for children. If you have kids the outside is not usable. Each bedroom needs a window fan. The house is cute. Owner was quick to respond and did refund one day. We left 4days early.listing and book at the house do not have the same charges on them they need to be updated. There also is no boat available.

Perfect lake house
We enjoyed every bit of it. Kids was in hot tub while I was grilling out, took the Canoe out for little bit an came back did our water toys an had a fire. Perfect family getaway spot. Would definitely go back.

Beautiful Home/Helpful Owners
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful location. House was very inviting and well stocked with necessities. Joseph was easy to communicate with and most helpful. Our family looks forward to staying again in the future (maybe when it’s a little warmer and can take advantage of the beautiful lake).

We really liked the place
The only think we didn’t like was we were only given 4 bath towels and 2 hand towels for 4 people to use for 3 days. But we would definitely stay there again

Great Experience, Minor Quirks
Overall our stay was great! The property had a beautiful view out the back and the two larger beds were both very comfortable. The coffee pot was filled with coffee grounds without a filter and hadn't been cleaned, as well as a half drank beer being left in the fridge. One major detail I would advise future renters is to bring gallon drinking water. The water has a bad smell and does not taste good likely because it is on a lake. We stayed during our wedding weekend and the property served it's purpose for us. Joseph was very quick and responsive.

I wish you guys would've addressed this when you first arrived.. the beer in the fridge and coffee in the pot is a cleaning crew issue that would be addressed to the cleaning company. I would've rectified this... As for the water smell and taste, the house is on a well and older wells can cause that smell. Its not harmful in any way, we're just not fortunate enough to get City water out there...

Lake Views and Lots of Beds
Fantastic house with gorgeous lake view. We were in town for a family reunion and this spacious, updated home did not disappoint. There is only one bathroom but plenty of bedrooms and beds to accommodate a larger group. The downstairs (which has 2 bedrooms) has a nice, open layout with lots of windows overlooking the lake. The driveway accommodates about 4 cars and the back deck and propane grill came in handy when entertaining a larger family gathering. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook meals and the appliances are updated.

Perfect Family Vacation!
The property was perfect for our family of 5. Loved the beach front lake area. It’s a small, quite lake…perfect for relaxing. The owner was great with communicating with any questions we had, which weren’t many since the house has everything you need for your stay!

Up North Feeling
Our family was pleasantly surprised upon arrival to this property. The property owners were very accommodating with our needs. We had plenty to do while staying at the property. We personally enjoyed the Kayaks and fishing off the docks. The kitchen and main living space was nice and included everything you would ever need. The lake view was spectacularThe bathroom was nicely renovated. The shower was amazing with a glass enclosure, a seat, and a raining fall shower head. Awesome. We would definitely stay again.

The house is clean and nicely appointed. We're so glad we rented the pontoon for a day, that was our favorite part! Kids enjoyed practicing on the paddleboard in the shallow water entrance off sandy section where they played.

Very Very Nice..
What we loved. Everything indoors. The house was spotless. Five stars. The kitchen was stocked. It had everything we needed. BBQ was a plus. We loved our nightly fires and morning sunrises at the beach. We walked the neighborhood every morning. The lake is very quiet. We went to other lakes too as they were close by, Walled Lake and Pontiac Lake. The patio seats need to be bolted down. We are too old to fall off them. If the beach was more to our liking we would be back. Swimming off the small beach requires wading through knee-deep mud and weeds,. But don’t let that stop you from renting this home. We totally enjoyed ourselves. The owner was very easy to contact and resolve issues. Thanks Joe.

Wonderful stay
The house is very cute and right on the lake. The owner was easy to communicate with and very helpful. The lake is a nice size and the view is very relaxing. The house is not air conditioned, but the owner has put a couple of room units in and that worked well. At night my daughter opened the window upstairs and it cooled off nicely. House was convenient to a grocery store and a coney restaurant for breakfast. We also spent one day in downtown Detroit and the drive was not too far. We had a very nice time and really liked the house.

Pleasant but not without its problems...
The indoor space was just as described, and the owners have done a nice job of updating and remodeling. We had a number of water fowl visit during our stay, including a family of swans and a beautiful heron. The kids loved that! Swimming off the small beach requires wading through knee-deep mud and weeds, so we used a flotation device to get out to open water. The lake is quiet and picturesque. However, we encountered a number of issues. The weather was pretty warm during our visit, and the air conditioning and fans just couldn't handle cooling the downstairs bedrooms, making for some uncomfortable nights. We had some housekeeping problems when we checked in, but the owner was very responsive and it seems they were due to a less-than-thorough cleaning crew and an inconsiderate previous renter. An old hamburger with maggots on the grill was not pleasant. Beware of the patio furniture, since 4 of the 8 chairs have broken/unattached seats. The deck is also badly in need of a coat of staining. If you're looking for a quiet place to look out at a lake, this could be your place.

Great getaway spot
I really enjoyed the house and the area. Joseph was very good at responding. My only complaint was that we couldn't get the grill going. Other than that the house was perfect for outdoor fun cause the lake was the backyard. Good times... I would definitely recommend this place.

Cooke Family Vacation
Overall, our stay was good this little cabin on the lake. My children enjoyed fishing off the dock, playing in the sand and having their own space upstairs. It is decorated beautifully and the beds are comfortable to sleep in. Communication was good once we were able to get a hold of the owner at the beginning of the stay. The biggest area of concern for us was there wasn’t central air. They do have two air conditioners, one upstairs and one in the main living space, however, that didn’t cool the down stairs bedrooms- at all. And the pictures of the listing are not updated to show this. I am 5 months pregnant and this was very hard for me to sleep. Overall, we enjoyed our time at this rental and if you like to sleep at around 75 degrees then this house is totally for you!
