“My son, daughter in law and I go on a hiking trip in the UP every year. This year we selected the Porcupine Mountains. I selected the Oar’Asis cabin for our home base - perfect size, location and price. We were not disappointed - the cabin is absolutely adorable. Our hostess, Heidi, left the door open & lights on for our arrival, which was a bit late in the day. The clean, comfortable beds felt great after a day of traveling. In the morning Heidi greeted us with a pan of delicious blueberry……

Great location easy access to great fishing, hunting, ATV trails you name it, it is available! 30 minutes to Ironwood 40 minutes to The Porkies great place to call base camp and travel the area. “We normally come to the Northwoods area every year for our annual family snowmobile trip. This year was not a year for snow put the owners of the cabin were very helpful in guiding on activities for us to enjoy since snowmobiling was not an option. The cabin was clean and well decorated. They have everything you need in the kitchen minus food in the fridge for your stay. Games to play, movies to watch and tvs in every room. Anytime we had a question they responded very promptly. Would highly……

“The cabin was nice having three bedrooms, and a nice view of the lake. Having your own private boat ramp made it easy for getting my sled on the lake. Gogebic grocery just up the hill made it easy for getting bait for ice fishing.”

“This house was very clean and easy to find. Lots of room for parking and towing a snowmobile trailer. The snowmobile trails are right across the street and a short distance from boat launch to ice fish. We had enough room for six of use”

“Super warm and cozy! Very accurate listing, bathroom was very clean, loved the coffee bar and that you provide jams and other items we didn’t want to bring up with us. Neighborhood is quite and felt safe even though it’s older. House is close to the porcupine mountains park and lots of deer everywhere! Will stay here again in the summer! Communication with host was absolutely excellent!!! Super fast responses. Thanks for a great stay!”

“The house was clean and all the cupboards and drawers were marked so we could find kitchen utensils. There was also plenty of things that made our trip more convenient like coffee filters and syrups, spices for cooking, ketchup, mustard, butter and things like that.”
