Beautiful, relaxing with lots of charm

Fell in love as soon as we saw the Drive way. Best garden with lots to explore. House was clean and had so much character. Would highly recommend

Southern Highlands Charm

We enjoyed Christmas at the Tor. The property was full of old world charm and the decorations added to the occasion. The gardens are beautiful and the outlook from the front verandah is very relaxing.

A character cottage in the beautiful Southern Highlands

The Tor is a cottage and property of great character and charm. We enjoyed the natural beauty and the peace and quiet. The cottage has a fantastic kitchen, comfy beds and a wonderful fire in the large lounge room. We will be back!

Not what we expected

The photos did not reflect the property looked very different once you were there.The gardens although they were lovely needed a good tidy up things left lying around everywhere.The beds were quite hard as well were the lounges.The coffee table nearly fell apart when we tryed to move it.It’s a very charming house but a little to rustic unfortunately we would not stay again.

The Tor is a lovely character cottage with stately, colourful gardens. Perfect for a peaceful family weekend in the gorgeous Southern Highlands.

Old gem - just perfect for a girls weekend

We went as a group of friends looking for a weekend away from Sydney. The house and it's gardens were delightful. We spent a wonderful afternoon exploring all around the property and trying to name the multitude of gorgeous flowers and trees. The sitting room was the scene of many a glass of champagne whilst fixing the wrongs of the world. The house is nearby to Burrawang which is just gorgeous - can highly recommend the pub & General Store. We also visited Bowral for dinners out and shopping. A lovely escape.

French Shabby Chic

Very nice , very relaxing . Enjoyed the open log fire. Loved the Par Terre gardens , the lavender hedge and the purple hydrangeas. The doggies also enjoyed the garden. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and pantry items. Comfortable lounges and plenty warm enough. Many thanks to all concerned.

Cozy home with great location

The home was warm and cozy for the 4 of us. The kitchen was well set up, and with so many basic kitchen supplies it was hard to find room for our food! The beds were comfy and the eclectic decor of the house and garden generated discussion about how much work is needed to get the garden in shape before spring hits. The location was great for local touring and we had a very enjoyable weekend stay.
