“The house was very clean and orderly, with comfortable beds. The hosts were good communicators and went above and beyond, offering to do things that they wouldn't be required to do, like early check in. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies. Thermostats in every room. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.”

“This is a perfect getaway! The setting is absolutely serene and stunning. The cottage is nestled on a rock overlooking the lake, and is very private. A winding and scenic path takes you down to a sandy beach, in a beautiful little cove. The cottage itself is well supplied and very comfortable! It has a rustic charm to it. The large screened in porch was a great place to spend time as a family. This was an actually very relaxing vacation!”

“We stayed at the”Blackhaus” January 19-23. The house was perfect for our 3 teenage boys and my wife and I. It is a bit off the road which offers serenity and peace. The house is well appointed and met all of our needs. It is located just about 8 minutes from whiteface ski resort and about 22 minutes to lake placid. I Will definitely stay here again. ”

“It is what it looks like. A charming place to stay that is quiet, relaxing, easy to get to, close to town, but far enough away, simple, and although there are several cabins, it is also very private in each one. There is also a gas station/convenience store that is very near by which had quick things we needed and even fresh salads to eat on two occasions. We found being here more relaxing than if we had found a hotel in the area. The process was seamless from booking to check-out. The hosts……

“My wife, daughter and I stayed at the Zen Den for 1 month and it exceeded our expectations in every regard. Five minute walk Main Street, 2 minutes to a great playground for our daughter, 2 minute walk to Mountain Mist Ice Cream. The home was super clean and comfortable. We made ample use of the fire pit, grill and fully stocked Keurig. Jenna and Rick very nice and accommodative and we loved getting to know them during our stay. “We loved our stay for the 2024 total eclipse! The house is on a hill with beautiful mountains all around, and it is very quiet - it's like you have the mountains to yourself. The house itself is one of the most comfortable my family of 4 has rented and not cramped like many rentals. The living room is huge with plenty of seats, there is room around the table to easily seat 6, and the kitchen is big enough for multiple cooks. “This was an amazing spot for our extended family of 11, ranging in age from 10 to 80. The house, and exterior decks/patios, was spacious enough so that you could find a place to yourself whenever you wanted. The home is beautiful and the loft area and open kitchen/living/dining was lovely. But without a doubt the lakefront areas were the highlight of the property. “Moreno's Cottages are a pleasant series of little cabins between Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. My brother and I stayed in #7. There were two twin beds, a nook and a small, separate kitchen area. It was rustic, but modern enough to feel like you had a place to relax after a hike. We did have some problems getting in, but Todd was super accommodating and had backup codes for us to use. There are picnic benches and grills behind the house in the open area. The property is easily accessible off the……

“This is a tiny bare bones cabin. Hardly room for a couple. No stove or place to cook. There was microwave and sink. The bed was large but mattress sagged in middle. The drawers were hard to open and close. No one on premises to greet you; access entirely on internet, but internet and phone connection spotty. We did not receive emails so we had a lot of trouble getting in. However, owners were subsequently available by phone and were responsive if we had problem. The location is excellent right……

“A small group of friends, myself, and my two dogs stayed here to watch the solar eclipse. The spacious backyard was the perfect place for eclipse viewing and the small town was close enough to Lake Placid for a morning shopping trip but far enough away to avoid the traffic. The house itself has GORGEOUS views, a relaxing hot tub (perfect for after a long hike), and a fully equipped kitchen. Overall it was the perfect home away from home to spend a long weekend.”

“The number one thing I loved about this property was the absolute quiet of the area. If you want to get away from it all - sit by the fire, read and just enjoy nature in quiet this cabin is for you.
