「The hotel is a bit remote and isolated, but we were pleasantly surprised. Clean and comfortable, good service, adequate breakfast options. We ate dinner at Bruce Arms pub nearby (not many other options) - recommend it. Only minor complaints are the wifi didn't reach our room (farthest away from lobby), and the body wash does not have a pleasant smell.」

「Loved the patio door in our room leading to the garden outside. Havent had this before and thought it was just lovely. I had my dog with me and he enjoyed being able to go in and out . Hotel room was spacious and staff were friendly and accommodating. Would definitely book again!」

「Nice relaxing stay, if booking through 3rd party be careful of room designation offered we nearly fell foul of that as originally not as shown on booking and upon confirming with hotel found an error as hotel had put us in room 1/2 size at highest point in hotel best to book direct imo. For disabled requirements a bit misleading as there are none. Staff helpful and some EV charging available not shown on website.」

「First off, we weren’t in the main hotel building, so I can’t comment on that other than it looked ok from reception. We were in the row of rooms to the right of of the main entrance, along the main road. A surprisingly noisy main road. The room was spacious, but stank of wet dog. Huge need for a bit of TLC to be spent improving the rooms, beds, bedding, towels, carpet etc. Definitely not worth the money spent on one night unfortunately, but this seems to be a trend with small hotels and i do...

「This is a hidden gem. Yes, it is a shared bathroom, and as an American that was strange to me, but it was a private one and well maintained, with toiletries provided. My bedroom had a sink which was also useful. It's <10 minutes walking to the train station which is also nice. The staff were friendly and accommodating when I needed to leave my luggage with them after checkout」
