“The property was nicely decorated and very clean. Also nicely located on the water. The owners communicated well and seemed friendly in their messages. Two things would make the property better - bug screens on more windows so they can be left open and light blocking blinds in one of the bedrooms. Main issue is the unfortunate fact the train track is close and I woke up twice from trains passing in the middle of the night.”

“My family of four stayed 3 nights here and really enjoyed the lakeside views and fire pit. The beds were comfortable but other inside seating areas were not conducive for gathering. With a heavy emphasis on rustic charm, the place did not appear to be well maintained. There were active spiders and spiderwebs in many corners of the house. The couch was visibly dirty and ripped. The kitchen and bathroom sinks were chipped and stained. We were also asked to bring our own firewood, wash our own……

“Our stay at Herons watch was wonderful. The house was clean and stocked with everything we could ever want and need. We brought our boat and launched it at the bridge which was easy and the ride on the lake back to the house was smooth and easy. The views are awesome. We enjoyed family meals and sitting on the porch , had a camp fire, played games, fished and relaxed. I highly recommend this home for a quality vacation thank you”

“The property was beautiful, totally loved it. Bed was comfortable, sitting room small but comfortable and loved the outside. A lot of amenities. Two things to be aware of, as mentioned in the description, there is no shower just a tub and there is no hose attachment to the tub faucet (I assume to prevent people making a mess with the water), so could be tricky. And second, the stairs and/or path to the space is a bit rough, steps are big and steep (mind u I am only 4'9), and if u go around……

“Amazing property with amazing views! Plenty of chairs, fire pit, and picnic table to do all your cooking and eating. The only thing was the horses right next to the camp that scared us in the middle of the night! But the next day they came to say hello again and were much less scary in the daylight!”
