「Though I had paid for a super room , unfortunately the room was given was a box room with no fan . Hardly one person could walk around in the room」

It had just been renovated. The breakfast was delicious and I really liked that we could choose alternatives to the full English. We had lunch there with some friends and it was very nice. Dinner was also good but we didn't feel up to a full meal.」

「Hotel is in good location but on a busy main road the A40 , lorries go passed day and night must have ear plugs , our room a deluxe was facing the main road , was small with shower in bath !! Breakfast was good .」

「Had a lovely stay over the weekend and was well looked after - shout out to Ellie who made sure I was fed and watered after my long journey. The only downside - the bed in room 5 is particularly firm, and as a side sleeper has caused me discomfort in my hips. Obviously it’s total personal preference but a soft mattress topper might fix the issue. The room itself was beautiful though.」

「Badic accommodation. Poor value for money. A pub with rooms. You could smell the fried chips when you opened the door in the car park. The staff were jobs worth and not welcoming. Poorly maintained property which felt grubby. My room had a sash window broken so couldn't open it. Only good thing were the bath towels and good mattress. Pillows awful. Make sure you don't have a room on the front of the hotel as the noise from the road is continous through the night. I would not stay there...

「Our room was on the first floor, above the pub. You can probably imagine how busy it can get at night. We can clearly hear everything from downstairs which make us cannot sleep. The whole building is old 」

「Lots of character, authentic, old inn (original part built circa 1690) set in beautiful countryside. Some parking on site at rear, but one evening we had to park on the roadside. (It is a quiet road so OK.) There is a nice seating area in a garden in front of the Inn. Nice ambiance overall. Staff are very friendly. Evening meal and breakfast were good. The double room we stayed in was sufficiently quiet and of an acceptable size. Would definitely consider staying again if in the area.」
