"We had a great time at this resort, where all rooms have an amazing ocean view that is hard to beat. We had a studio, which was very nice and spacious, with a generously sized balcony, which we unfortunately had to share with the room next door. We later found out that this was because this is a time-share resort, where each studio room is attached to a 1-BR unit that is often used by the timeshare owners, who also have the option to close the separating door and rent out the adjacent unit. Nonetheless, it was a very nice stay, the pool was great, with a nice hot tub and plenty of beach chairs at the pool, as well as up and down the extensive beach. We only at at the resort a few times, but the food we had was good and worth the money. The location of the resort is thankfully remote and quite, with a few good restaurants located near by, which we visited frequently; however, it is also such a small island that driving to the Boden Town, Georgetown, or even 7-mile Beach was no problem, where we enjoyed many good restaurants and eateries. Overall, I would stay here again."
"The property is exactly as shown and described.
A car is needed since it's in a quiet area of the island.
The island is small and easy to drive around.
Very relaxing holiday, the grounds and pool are very well maintained."
The Reef Beach Resort - All Inclusive - East End, Grand Cayman
6/10 Okay
"My husband and I liked the location - East End - for the quiet and distance from touristy West End. We also absolutely loved the food. We purchased the package that included all meals and drinks, and we were never disappointed with the selection at meals or with the quality of all offerings. Neither of us is a "big drinker," so we did not drink often while there. When we did, however, we both found the cocktails very, very weak. We thought this must be because we were "drinks included" guests (as signified by our conspicuous wristbands). Our room on the ground floor opened onto a patio facing the beach. That cannot be found everywhere, and it was a big reason we chose this property. The views are spectacular. Unfortunately, this beach was not conducive to long walks since it smelled pretty bad due to the large amount of seaweed washed up. Even though the managers trucked it away each morning, the seaweed was relentless. We did not let it keep us from the beach, but this definitely soured the experience. The free-roaming chickens were cute, sometimes annoying, but always a conversation starter! Lastly - we did not realize there would be a sales pitch to buy into the property through time share. That was awkward and unwelcome. All in all, we are glad we visited Grand Cayman. If we return, though, we will look for another resort."
BEAUTIFUL 3 BEDROOM VILLA LOCATED DIRECTLY ON THE BEACH
10/10 Excellent
"This was a beautiful property. It is exactly like the listing! While you may not be in downtown Georgetown, that doesn't matter... Driving is a bit challenging, but only for the roundabouts and arerelatively quick... The kayaking was fun.The water was gorgeous. The only issue I would say was that when using the dryer, don't put anything with straps in, as it tended to get caught in a certain area of the dryer and damage a couple items of clothing... That wasn't a major problem, it's just a heads up for future use..Chisolm's down the road was great for groceries here and there.. Over the Edge Restaurant down the road was also wonderful! Robert responded very quickly when we had a couple questions as well...Overall , a wonderful experience. Thanks Robert and Nicola.."
"We really enjoyed our stay, place is spotless with everything you need. Quiet area . We rented a car for exploring the whole island, which would recommend. No complaints , this place was perfect for us!"
