“WARNING! DO NOT BOOK IF YOU ARE ASTHMATIC! We booked Cabin 25 (Lark) to celebrate our anniversary, but the stay was completely ruined by the appalling condition of the accommodation and the complete lack of action when I reported it. On our first evening I discovered extensive visible black mould around the shower, on the shower curtain and bathroom ceiling. I then inspected the rest of the cabin and found mould on the studio curtains and sofa bed, together with a significant build-up of dirt……

“The cabin is situated in the most beautiful and peaceful area. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the cabin really let it down. We bought a full shop on the way to check in, but we couldn’t use the oven as all the numbers had worn off around the dials. A lot of food and money wasted, which is frustrating as we booked this cabin over an alternative due to the kitchen. The crockery/cutlery/cookware were dirty. The dining chairs were filthy, so much so we didn’t want to sit on them. The tablecloth……

“No check in information received, when I contacted the host was told ‘it’s not hard it’s left unlocked’ during our stay the host walked past us several times to feed the llamas head down, didn’t even say hello, text to ask how to use the gas fire during our stay and no response, was made to feel very unwelcome. Shame as the shepherds hurt is nice”

“Very very private, pod was very clean and warm with everyting we needed. Biggest problem was the ourside and parking area. Very muddy....some gravel is needed at entrance and inside the gated area/parking. Thats my only moan. Other than that it was perfect.”
