「This was a gem for our ski trip. Before checkin the staff was very helpful with transportation suggestions and questions. Because the road to the hotel is not drivable in the winter you call the hotel from the parking/bus area and they come and pick you up via snowmobile, this in itself was a fun experience for my son. The room was quite, clean, and had the right amenities. The food was Japanese but very good and staff ensures dietary restrictions are met. 」

「I came to shiga kogen for skiing. The hotel location is excellent. You can have either 3 mins driving to Yokoteyama ski area or 5 mins driving to central area. "Overall it’s a really unpleasant experience to stay there! I have never experienced such rude hotel staffs especially in Japan, which is well known for its hospitality and services, hotel staffs got annoyed with questions asked in English!! The room is dated and not very tidy, facilities such hot spring are not impressive, food is subpar and expensive! I wouldn’t recommend to anyone even it’s a ski-in-out resort as it claims! "
