"This hotel has rooms bigger than most typical Japanese hotels. The bed is comfortable, spacious bathroom and small kitchenette. There was car parking available and facilities are clean all around. It’s within walking distance of the hells juku and convenience stores and restaurants too. The only problem is the onsen was nonoperational when we stayed."

"10畳の和室でしたが、コンセントの差し込み口が枠より沈んでいて、充電があまり出来なかった。 敷布団が2枚敷いてあるけど、薄くて寝心地がイマイチだった。 料理や大浴場は良かった。 大浴場のシャワーがとてもよかったし、大浴場の酒粕のパックが良かった。スタッフの対応は笑顔で最高でした。"

"The hotel is very large with many guests. Our room itself is spacious. Onsen is comfortable but there's not much view. It's a quiet area, besides the Onsen Jinku, there's not much to see. But overall, the experience is good."

"Even though it's an old style hotel, we had very comfortable room for our family and especially enjoyed the 2 onsen. I am told by local ladies that the spring water here is very beneficial for hair and skin. The breakfast was nice too."

"Breakfast was delicious."

"An absolutely stunning resort. Beautiful, super clean, wonderful helpful staff and delicious food!"

"In services and amenities this hotel is ‘good but unremarkable’, but we were lucky enough to get a room on the 7th floor with a fantastic view directly at Shimabara Castle. Hands down the best view you’ll get anywhere in Shimabara I reckon."

"Immaculate rooms, extremely helpful staff and amazing views from the private baths. The dinner and breakfast were excellent and I highly recommend both."
