“It’s an adorable house, furnished very tastefully obviously by a creative. Johnny is a photographer and his awesome photos of Joshua tree park landscape are strewn all over the house. The house was very clean with all the amenities that we a family of 3, would need. We used the kettle to make tea in the mornings. We stayed for 2 nights but did not get a chance to enjoy the beautiful backyard. It’s also conveniently located close to awesome breakfast and dinner restaurants and less than 15……

“House was very welcoming. Host has soothing music playing and dining table was all set and ready for our family dinner. Each room was setup with towels and bedding. The beds were very comfortable and each bedroom had a nice flat screen tv. The house was incredibly comfortable and clean. The only issue is the stairs are somewhat steep so if you have mobility issues that could be a problem. “This house was more than enough for our family of 5...very spacious and clean. The detached yoga structure is extra I believe but we didn't have use for it. I had to message the owner for the gate and front door code but he was responsive and got it to us in time for our check in. The AC blows cold, there are plenty of kitchen items (couldn't find the microwave though), a washer and dryer and fully stocked coffee station. “Our stay was very enjoyable! Looks just like the photos. The hot tub and star gazing was amazing after a long day hiking in the park. We arrived at night due to timing of our trip and it was very challenging to navigate the road leading up to the house, so agree that it’s best to arrive during the during the sunlight hours if you can. Definitely recommend a car with four wheel drive. I would recommend others to stay here!”

“Casa Mestiza had everything we needed — a well-equipped kitchen, two comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. We didn't use the cornhole, horsheshoes etc. out back, nor the patio table. But they looked nice. Communication with the host was easy and quick. She was very friendly. If I plan to return to the Yucca Valley one day, I'll book this home again as it's a known quantity and I was happy with it. Thank you.”
