Die Anfahrt ist wirklich einzigartig und führt über 90 Sanddünen. Daher sollte man den Service nutzen und das eigene Auto stehen lassen. Die Lodge hat alles was man braucht, dass Strom nicht 24 Std. zur Verfügung steht, das Wasser im Zimmer relativ salzig ist und der kleine Pool (welcher Luxus mitten in der Wüste !) viele Bienen anzieht - ist...

「Have stayed in Upington several times before but first time we have stayed at Browns Manor. Fully deserves 4 star rating. A green oasis in the Kalahari - massive koi carp a reap bonus. Staff really kind and helpful. Nice clean pool with shaded area and loungers. Good quality breakfast included.」

「Convenient property. Get an upstairs room if possible since you can hear people walking upstairs and talking. Price is reasonable so it gets 5 stars overall. Stayed here many years ago when they first opened. No breakfast due to COVID changes. Good wifi internet. Stairs are somewhat steep so not good if you have any disabilities.」

「We were disappointed not to find an evening meal. But Protea was fairly close and the food was good. We slept comfortably and the buffet breakfast was excellent.」

「Amazing stay in this semi-desert location! Hospitality was outstanding. We went on 2 breathtaking game drives (1 drive to see the orange river and Namibian mountain range and another sunset drive). The annex room was luxurious, very peaceful. Food was delicious although I would have preferred some karoo lamb for dinner given we were in the northern cape (personal preference. Whatever we did eat was nonetheless tasty). Thanks for an amazing, memorable stay!! 」

「We had such a great stay at River Place Manor. We will definitely be back when we visit Upington again. Our shower drain was clogged but the staff was super quick to address it and even comped our dinner as a result. The customer service was suburb and the room service was spectacular. Definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting! 」
