We happened to be "upgraded" to the sea view room in Kaani Beach Hotel. The hotel was apparently getting old with lots of minor repairs here and there to be done. But the staff there were incredibly helpful (e.g. they offered us a place in Male to temporarily store our luggage on our last day in Maldives when we would like to briefly visit the city, recommended us the best snorkelling tour so far named 'the real break', etc) and the daily breakfast was quite satisfying though the variety was limited. All in all, we enjoyed our stay in Kaani Beach Hotel.

The hotel is clean, spacious and ideally located nearby to the bikini beach, shops and restaurants on Maafushi. The rooms are great, very well air-conditioned and the cleaning service is brilliant.
