"The place was perfect! The space was big, the bed was big and the toilet was big! We felt really comfortable and made the mistake of staying inside for far too long when Kumamoto has so much to offer. It was also walkable to the castle and the shopping arcade. There was even a massage chair in our room! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will stay in other Daiwa hotels in our future stay."

"We booked the hotel the day of the trip as we had change plans due to Typhoon Haishen. When we entrance to the hotel was blocked with a rope and they did not answer the phone. There was noone to get any information, we did not get a cancellation or a notification. We were left in the typhoon with nowhere to go and struggled to find anything for hours during when the weather got really bad. We had to drive under fallen trees, get out of the car to pull branches off road and hide in someone’s...

"We had a fantastic stay here! The staff Alex and the team, were super friendly and had even planned daily group activities. We ordered the dinner set and it was incredible! We were able to get a ride to and from the train station, which was greatly appreciated. I would recommend giving them a call if you need to (we just used a payphone) as there was issues with sending messages on this website. "The flat is more spacious than I expected and we appreciated the washer and balcony equipped for drying clothes. The kitchen area is very small so it was hard to cook. The futons were very comfortable on the mezzanine level and, although the fan helped, it was very hot during the summer to sleep as the a/c does not reach that high. Location was excellent for exploring Kumamoto"

"The private onsens are free and fantastic, outdoor affairs with a view to the surrounding forest. The public onsen is quite simple, nothing exciting. Dinner is unbelievably huge and diverse (OMG!), breakfast is fantastic too. Staff is amazingly polite and helpful, rooms are beautiful and comfortable (a minibar fridge would be the perfect final touch)"
